GREAT GREAT GREAT
THIS COURSE HAS EVERYTHING I LIKE IN A GOLF COURSE.BEAUTY,LONG HOLES, SHORT HOLES, AND PLENTY OF TROUBLE IF YOU GET OUT OF THE FAIRWAY. LOVE IT.
Fantastic Course
We had a great time playing this course for the first time. the course is in terrific condition and the narrow fairways present a challenge out of the Tee Box. I can't wait to go back.
OUTSTANDING COURSE !!!!!!!
Great and really amazing course !!!!! Excellent conditions from tee box to fairways to greens. Excellent shape...
excellent layout, challenging tee shots
La Torretta requires a player to shape his tee shot on the par 4s and 5s and learn where to hit the fairway. If your can get off the tee, you can score, If not, be prepared to punch out of the trees and rough.
It's nice to see it back on the GolfNow list of courses.
Good. Some tough par 4 holes. Greens need attention. Slow but holes shot well. Need to stress divot repairs to its customers.
Overall loved the course. Very nice layout, lots of water and u will need to negotiate it.
Recommend Highly
Checked in just ahead of a small tournament and breezed through the course in under three hours. No waiting, nobody pushing. Course has some challenging holes and is fairly long at 6550 yards. Greens and fairways in very good condition, as were the tee boxes.
Greens in poor condition
The greens and tee boxes on this course were in really poor condition. They were reseeded the same morning we played and I think the course should have been closed for a day or so to allow the seeds to take hold. The second thing was the amount of water on both tees and greens. In combination with everything, the greens were impossible to read and put on. The last time I played this course, it was in great shape.
Nice course, good variety of looks, picturesque, and pleasant.
Well maintained facility in a setting that's given to fine quality recreational living. The course is complimented with Lake Coroe shaping some of the views and angles of certain approaches which could take the edge off of the anxiety of shot difficulty. The experience was refreshing and enjoyable and looking forward to playing it again.
Love the layout
I can't wait to play it again. Traveled over 50 miles to play it and it was worth every penny of it.
So so, wont be going back
When I booked this course, I fiugerd it would be nice since it was a "resort and spa"....the course layout and greens were decent but what actually blew me away was the clubhouse....at the turn we stopped to buy drinks, they charged $4.50 for a 20 oz Coke and also charged $4.50 for a 12 oz cup of coffee...seriuosly I understand paying a little premium for drinks but $4.50? Seriously? Needless to say, we won't be playing there again...for $60+, we should be able to find other values in the greater Houston area.
Very quiet
This course had very little traffic on it all day, and it was a joy to play a relaxing round. It is in great condition. Greens are very slow for a course of this condition, and it was a little wet in spots thoughout from excessive watering. Overall, I have played it 3 times and enjoyed the heck out of it!
