Moody Gardens

Moody is by far one of the best courses in Texas. Fun beautiful and challenging. The course is always in pristine conditions including the greens. A must play.

Heard positive reviews, drove from Katy, tx and was not disappointed. Course in EXCELLENT condition and will return with friends.

Our foursome had a great experience at Moody Gardens. Rain threatened all day and was pretty hot/humid but the course is in perfect shape. Tee times were 15 mins apart so we had breathing room until the back nine where more experienced groups caught us. Challenging holes with a 20-40 mph wind but we loved it and will be back soon we hope!

Course is always in immaculate condition. Superintendent is omnipresent, friendly and accessible. Greens are like artificial turf and the wind is lije the supt... omnipresent. Great place to watch the sunrise too.

I love playing here. Now with new adversaries (Covid19) there are extremely as challenges in everything that we do. Moody Gardens has met the challenge overwhelmingly. I feel safe and confident of keeping my family safe at Moody Gardens Everything isclean, sanitized and engineered for social distancing. The New Golf cartswete an excellent surprise. ADDITIONALLY., I DON'T THINK THAT THE CORSE HAS EVER BEEN IN BETTER SHAPE.

I can’t say enough good stuff about this course, the greens and fairways were fantastic.

By far best course I’ve played and I’ve played many courses in lots of countries.

1 - 9 are the easy holes 10 - 14 are brutal with a south wind, 15 - 18 are tight, lots of water.

If you’re an avid golfer, this one is a must play!

This course is in great shape and the layout is awesome! The staff is very friendly and accommodating!

It's probably one of the best course's that I have played around Houston. The greens are a little slow and bumpy. It will be awesome once they pick up the speed.

This is an excellent course, always in great shape. The grass they use looks good every time of year. Front 9 easier than the tough back nine. When I played on 5/10 the wind was down a bit, but always get stronger in the pm making the back nine very challenging even playing from the senior tees. Greens are always good!

I’ve played here several times before. The course is in excellent condition. From the tee box to the greens this course is in great shape! Challenging par 5’s with trickery Par 3’s this course has it all. Cold mix drinks and beers make it the best course around!

The course re-opened yesterday after a 5 week closure due to the Coronavirus. The sweetest part of the course were the fairways which resembled virgin green carpets. As you can imagine, it was a treat not having to worry about your ball rolling into a divot. The greens too, were in good shape. They are still recovering from aeration but despite that, the ball rolled pretty true. The course isn't overloaded with traps but they could use some topping-off as the sand is course and some mud is visible in a few. The staff was friendly, and I believe the grille was open to a limited number of people. Now, with the lush fairways, would be an ideal time to play Moody Gardens which should brighten even the "moodiest" golfer.

Of late the ground crew has been clear cutting all shrubs adjacent to water hazards. i suppose it does improve the look of certain holes

But the clear cut of waste shrub area in front of hole #3 (black and back tees) has ruined what was one of the best holes on the course. boooooooo

This was the 6th time I've played this course over the past 1.5 years and although the course was in good shape, it wasn't as good as it normally is. The one detail that surprised me was the greens. They have always been immaculate and always gave me the impression that it wasn't really grass because they were always pristine. This time however they were slightly bumpy and had some other grass/weeds growing in them.

If you do play this course, please do your part and fix your pitch marks!

The marshal is also an old, angry little guy.

We had an enjoyable round and will certainly come again.

Decent course and great value for money. Pace of play could be improved by grouping golfers. Lots of individual players, very lax about tee times.

Nice course but sometimes the mosquitoes can be a pain , I’m sure it’s like that everywhere, the course is in great shape and I love playing there
