Moody Gardens Golf Course

We came down for vacation and being avid golfers wanted to see if MG lived up to the reviews. This course did not disappoint….it started as soon as we arrived and entered the pro shop. Very professional and attentive staff, outstanding practice and range facility. We then positioned ourselves to start the days round, the Marshall was very friendly and chatted about the course, rules, pace of play and even general topics. We were teamed up with a couple gentleman from out of town on vacation as well. The course was gorgeous and in very well maintained condition, lush fairways, like hitting pillows. Greens were fast and challenging to read, the water hazards come into play for the new players as well as the seasoned golfer. Overall we throughly enjoyed the experience and will be booking again on our return. Thank you for a wonderful golf outing, n of the highlights of the trip.

If I could make one change I would change to color of the flags as they blend in with the background and are sometimes hard to pick up .

Found a hotdeal plus a discount promo code so I got to play for $40. I have nothing but great things to say. From the pro shop to the starter, to the cart girl and bartender, everyone was happy to help and had great energy. The course was perfect. Greens are glassy and fast. Fairways were great. Tee areas were great. Doesn’t get much better than this in the Houston area.

Beautiful course. Challenging with the wind and some very difficult green placements. I recall maybe three holes that good drives left 200 odd yards to the green that was tucked behind water. You have to play strategic and conservatively here.

The mosquitos though were like something from Jurassic Park. I got some generic bug spray. I recomment the highest strength deet you can get your hands on. And spray all over your body. I had a thin golf shirt on and theybit straight through it. I estimate over 100 mosquito bites during the round.

So overall great course but go prepared!!!!!

The only thing was the mosquitos were bad , so take take some repellents, cutter dry worked great.

Drove from Lake Charles Louisiana to take my son n law to play a round of golf for his birthday. It was a beautiful course and we had a great time. It was definitely a positive experience for both of us. We will definitely be back in the future

Love playing Moody Gardens. I've played some of my best rounds here and I believe it's helped a great deal by the fabulous shape the course is always in. If you keep the ball in play you stand a good chance of going low. If you're off course a small amount it can hurt as it gets ugly in a hurry. Very dense growth along the edges. The greens are immaculate and roll very true. If you read the greens well you stand a good chance at some birdies. Overall an enjoyable place to play.

My family and I were on vacation in Galveston and I decided to play Moody Gardens. Good course, good layout, and plenty of water. I definitely recommend this course to anyone visiting the Galveston area.

Great greens, course in nice shape. Lots of water and wind provided a tough test. Watch out for the mosquitoes. Driving range nice. Clubhouse meh, they messed up our food order at the turn.

The fairways are clean and the greens but some of the tee box need some work but overall is a nice place to play
