About Rayburn Country Resort
Rayburn Country Club closed in February 2020 and was given new life under a new owner as Rayburn Country Resort, a family-friendly destination. The 27-hole course was redesigned and renovated into 18 holes with 150 feet of elevation change. The 48-room hotel features double or king beds and king and two-bedroom suites. A new clubhouse and new restaurant, Sammy Ray's, have brought a new vibe to the resort.Facts

Course
Greens were very slow and some were in poor shape. Pace was slow very slow.
Good Golf
Reasonable Price on GolfNow. Friendly staff.
Green and tee boxes need work.
Disappointed in green conditions
Greens were the worst I have seen with bare spots on all but 2 greens.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I travelled 90 miles one way to play a course I hear about on tv every day. Club house and staff did not disappoint. Practice area range and putting green left a lot to be desired. Arrived at the first hole the fairway looked awesome, since I was a single the group ahead of me let me play through. Arrived on the first green to my disappointment it’s full of weeds, and bald spots. Which held true for almost the entire course. Pace of play really slowed at the 10th hole backup five groups no marshal. 100+ heat. In summary poor greens, poor player course management. Not worth the cost and effort,
Great weekday course
Fairways are in great shape but many of the greens are lacking grass.
Nice Course
Nice course, but tee boxes need some work.
Book on golf now for a better price.
Top notch!
Excellent staff and excellent course! Will be back for sure!
Sorry, But Might not be Back
I love this place and I’ve been playing it for 30 years through multiple owners so it pains me to say I probably won’t be back. They are spending a lot of money buts like I told my wife - it’s just makeup on a pig. It’s still a pig. FairwYs and greens - especially the greens are a $25 course. I’m sorry for the bad review, but the course needs to hear it more than potential players.
Great Course
This course was fun, had kind staff, and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend.
One of the best courses I’ve played. Love the elevations and greens are well kept. Wish there were cart beverages but overall the course is beautiful.
Great getaway course
Love this hidden gem in the Pineywoods of East Texas.
