Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
About Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort
Tapatio Springs is a modest-sized resort in the small Hill Country town of Boerne, located north of San Antonio. The 18-hole golf course, formerly 27 holes, underwent an extensive renovation and redesign project at the hands of Tripp Davis in 2015 to create an updated experience for golfers. Off-course amenities at this resort include a brand new clubhouse, home to the La Cascada Table & Bar, a social hub for the resort and local community. Owned by musician George Strait, the property features a singer-songwriter live music series on weekends.Facts

Good place to play
Overall, a good place to play. My only complaint was that some of the holes were under maintenance and made it difficult to play. I wound up skipping those holes.
This Course is worth the drive.
We had a great day of golf. We played 14 holes as my golf buddy had to work in the afternoon. It was a well worth it day of golf. Course was challenging but not overwhelming. I would encourage anyone looking for a well maintained and quite beautiful scenic day of golfing to give it a try.
One of the best
Tapatio springs sure bring out the golfer in you , overall facilities and accommodations are beyond compare , the course is as good as it has his difficulty witch makes the challenge a way to improve your performance, second time in this place and I will definitely be back many many times!
Great course
Tapatio is a great course and the Mgmt has really been making some great improvements.
Very playable and challenging, especially the Valley nine. A few holes have good risk reward opportunities and pace of play is good( right at four hours).
The ninth and eighteenth will bite hard if you're not carefull!
Highly recommend a round! Or two!
The course was fun to play.
The course was fun to play but lacked water in a number of areas. Still, the experience was well worth it. Spectacular views.
Much improved
Course is in a lot better shape! Getting it back to how it used to be .
nice course
Great pace. Played behind A tourney In approximately 4 hours. Greens in good shape as well as fairways. Rough around Greens was tough going if you landed there. Bunkers could have been better, but it had rained earlier.
4 Star Resort Quality
Lack of irrigation water prevents course from being a five star rating. The terrain, elevations, natural creeks and small lakes make for a beautiful and scenic location. Course ownership must invest in irrigation access!
Great course for the money.I
I enjoy playing each course they are fun and challenging .
Never Dissappoints
This is a great course. Open enough that every errant shot is not a lost ball, but tight enough to be challenging. Even in 90-100 degree heat of summer the fairways and greens are in great shape. The clubhouse has good food for after the round, but they have nothing quick for the turn at 9. It would be nice if they had more than a small box of picked threw candy bars. The staff was very pleasant and seemed happy that I paid through Golf-now even though it was half price.
Good Course
The course was a great layout and pace of play was fantastic. I think I only saw 2 other groups. Only complaint was that we brought a third to play and the guy at the desk gave our playing partner a hard time about getting his millitaty discount. Stating that the va card he had was not enough "proof". Eventually he gave the discount but was in poor taste to treat a 20 yr. vet.
Much improved
The tract has improved from a year ago!!! I love the facility and the tact, very fair to the avg golfer yet challenging for the low handicap player. I'll definitely be back
Nice setting...good value
This was our first time playing here...for early September and in our drought, the course was in pretty decent shape. The course itself is not difficult and kind forgiving for newer golfers because fairways run in parallel in doe instances. We will definitely play this one again, in fact we will probably play on a Saturday, stay the night at the resort and then play again Sunday. The entire venue seems very nice in a beautiful setting.
Strait up!
The course is in much better shape than it has been since I last played. Of course the greens and tee box could be better and I would venture to say they will in good time. Otherwise, this is a very enjoyable course to play.
Beautiful course
Great rate of play, beautiful views. Challenging, but good for intermediates.
Nice Place
Nice place to play with good use of natural features
Tapatio Springs during the week
Course is in great shape with beautiful views. I had two issues when I played this course on a Thursday morning. Multiple ladies groups playing very slow and taking forever looking for balls . The second was actual members of the club I came across where very unfriendly and rude . Parked their carts wherever and then gave you dirty looks when you tried to go around.
It's definitely a much better course
Once country star, George Strait and his partners bought this course, expectations were high.. There's still work to be done, and being in an extreme drought area doesn't make it easy, they have made some great changes..the staff, from the pro shop to the food and beverage is so much above most 5 star resorts..Pro shop is well stocked.. All current apparel.. Having retired from creating charity golf tournaments, I can't stress enough, if you're looking to host an event, give them a call..
Excellent value, beautiful course
Tapatio springs was an absolute pleasure- staff was friendly and helpful in the clubhouse, cart came with complimentary ice and cooler, and the gps was a definite luxury. Make sure to show up early and get some time in at the range(comes w/ your round), but expect a long well maintained course. Will return again!
not too shabby
got a really good price to play, so that made it worth it. I'm just used to playing at a quicker pace, ive never seen a 3 some take as long as the group in front of me did, while on the green. It was terrible, but thats not the Resorts fault. other than that, it would have been perfect
