2nd, par-4, 398. Walter Travis’ penchant for high quality bunkering and mounding is clearly evident here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/30/2022

5th, par-4, 336. Short but lethal, this downhill, two-shot hole nonetheless offers a beautiful Green Mountain backdrop. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/30/2022

8, par-4, 398. One of the deeply embedded greenside bunkers may prove hazardous to your score after an errant approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/30/2022

12th, par-4, 361 (center of photo). At twelve, a drive and pitch hole, you’ll want to miss all of the eleven bunkers. The scenery, though, is not to be ignored. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/30/2022

13th, par-4, 423. The toughest and maybe best hole at Equinox, this brutal “Volcano” hole will test you fully from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/30/2022

Nice course
Convenient reservation process, nice course, very good price.
great views great golf course slow play
Very well layed out track fairways were perfect greens did not want to hold a shot every thing was running through the greens, hate these fescue roughs. Greens were smooth and fast. We went off after a captains choice and they were very slow 5 hours. I felt they could have just as well sent us off in front of the tournment We were their early enough.
Great course!
Played this course as part if our 2013 guys golf getaway. Course was in great shape and very challenging. Look forward to coming back on our next VT trip!
P.S. don't speed through Mt. Tabor!
Great deal - excellent condition - great corn chowder
Played by myself - played Saturday and returned Sunday even though I had a 6 hr round trip each day - was worth every minute- cannot wait to return - hospitality and facility helped make the long drive well worth the effort - changing rooms showers etc. -
Coolers on the carts !
Nice views, challenging greens
The course was very pleasant, and in overall very good shape. Greens were probably rolling 10 and the fairways were in pristine shape. A couple of small negatives were the tee boxes (played gold - back) were pretty uneven and the course had a lot of out of bounds, much more than I've ever seen elsewhere. Luckily there was always one side of the hole that could be played away from the out of bounds. Overall fun course could use a few hundred more yards to make it a real challenge.
Beautiful views, course was in great shape, staff was very pleasant!
This course was a lot of fun to play even for the person in our party who had not played in 3 years! The course was challenging enough for all of us and it was beautiful! So glad we chose Equinox, we will play this course again when we are in Vermont!
one of the top courses in Vermont. A must play.
I've played this course everytime I come to Vermont. It's a great layout and is always in very good condition. Yesterday was no exception. The course once again is in very good condition and is always fun to play. The greens were in excellent condition and very fast, which is always the case here. I'm sure you'll enjoy playing this layout.
Nice course with a few elevation shot challenges
Beautiful views staff nice wish there was a range overall a great experience
ok
they prob have some booking issues...at 3pm wed. there were 4 foursomes on the 7th hole...greens are nice, otherwise not very well manicured; back nine is better
Challenging layout, fast firm greens, rocks in bunkers
The only negative thing I have to say is that there were rocks in the bunkers. Not just little pebbles, but rocks some of which were 3 inches across. I talked to the person in the pro shop after the round about it and he was very dismissive about it, blaming the amount of rain that has fallen. I am from NH and was aware of all the rain we have had but no other course that I have ever played has had rocks like these traps had. We were able to remove them to play a shot but on one shot there was a rock about 2 inches across below the surface of the ball in the trap and my club was damaged when I played the shot. It would take little effort on the greens staff to rake out all the stones.
We greatly enjoyed playing here.
Firstly accessibility from where we were staying in Manchester was ideal. The course was well looked after. Unfortunately, we played the day following a rainy evening so the course was quite soggy in some places. The course is challenging in the overall length for an average player like myself. Most of the holes are lie straight ahead from each tee. A few of the last holes were an uphill battle with some untamed scrub brush. If one is familiar with the course this should not pose a problem. We had no waiting times on the course and everything moved along at a good pace.
Secondly, a shout out to Golf Now for the most efficient reservation system...no fuss. In addition the golf fees were amazingly affordable. We are looking to using the services of Golf Now again.
The staff at the GC at Equinox were very pleasant and knowledgeable.
We did not sample the food with this particular round of golf.
We would highly recommend this course to anyone living or travelling in the area.
A GREAT Vermont resort course. Beautiful views. A variety of holes to challenge any level of golfer. Friendly staff. We had a great day

Some breath taking holes
Much better then I remember. The course is very playable, but there are 3 or 4 holes that are monsters from the tips. Par 5's very difficult. The only hole I did not like was the first par 5 over the road. Great shape, great staff and I got a great price on Golf Now
Golfer friendly
This is a very short layout. A great place for the novice, older man or women. It's wide fairways allow for errant shots to still be in play. The better player will enjoy this when he looks at his score card and sees his score. The greens though not flat are easy to read and roll very well.
Amazing
Exept the 7 hole the course is amazing wow ... Nothing else to say good chalenge ...
Not worth the hour drive
I thought the course was good, but not as good as others had rated. We drove an hour to play it and would not make the trek again. There are other courses of equal or better conditions closer to where we were staying.
Great course
This was the first time that I had played Equinox and I was very impressed. My brother in law says it's his favourite course and after finding the golf now website I saw there was a hot deal for $38 which was $100 cheaper than the regular price. Couldn't resist that offer so booked it up.
I usually shoot in the mid 90's to 100 as I don't play too often. Upon arriving the staff were extremely friendly and had a greeter on the first tee to welcome me. The course is in great condition. Fairways are immaculate and the greens have a constant speed. The bunkers are prestine, light sand and no stones.
The only negatives I had was a few holes have out of bounds on the right hand side of the fairway so if you have a slight slice like I do then you may lose a few balls. It's not the courses fault I sometimes slice my tee shots, just seems a bit harsh that the tee box is just a few yards from OB. Also the 5th green had alot of debris from the trees behind it. Made putting a little bit harder and having never played the hole before didn't know the line it would take. Ended up hitting a few of the buds and moved the ball a few inches off line.
One of the par 3's is only 110 yards long and straight downhill which feels a little cheap, but I managed a par after a good birdie attempt just went wide....so can't really complain.
The biggest downer which was no fault of the course was a severe storm came in whilst on hole 15th and the course got flooded so had to end the round short.
Other than that I had a real good time and played with two other players who had booked through golf now website.
Will definately be going back if a weekend tee time is around the $40 mark again.
Challenging course with great layout
This is my first course review on here so let me be as through as I can. Of note a little about me: I am an 8 handicapper who plays 2-3x/wk and has played many hi end courses all over the east coast-including Caledonia, Legends, Turning stone, etc...
Played Equinox for the first time yesterday, Wednesday at 10:52 in Manchester, vt. Myself and playing partner drove about 1hr and 15 mins and pleasantly was surprised on the quaintness and beauty as we drove into Manchester and saw the course. The course sits right in town and about 1/2 mile from the hotel. The course was not busy at all, being only 2 twosomes on the putting green, who played in front of us for the entire round. We played in about 3 1/2 hrs and would definitely play here again. To describe the course is tough, because it will not do it justice, but here goes. Equinox golf course is a blend of a links and mountain course. It has subtle bending fairways, and constant changes in elevations. Many of the tee boxes are elevated with magnificent views of the valley around the surrounding mtns. Approach shots from the fairway have you and hitting into elevated greens, which are well sculpted and garded by bunkers. Some of the greens sit 40-50 ft above the fairway, which really changes the approach. Most greens are surrounded by well manicured bunkers, all strategically placed. The course was in really nice shape, and with multiple maintainance crews working on the course it will only be better in a few weeks. Don't let the scorecard yardage or slope rating fool you on the difficulty on this course. Your short game will be tested and big numbers are out there with the abundance of sand, deep rough and undulating fairways. This is a must play for any serious golfer and all we could think of while playing was how it reminded us of Leatherstocking in Cooperstown, with a bit of mountainy feel mixed in. Enjoy and hope this does the course justice.
greens were perfect
lucked out on the weather was suppose to rain.arrived at course just before opening and was allowed to go first.had seen your time night before but weather was an issue so waited till am to be sure.course was a little wet in some spots but in great condition overall.would definitely go back.
Great course nestled in the VT mountains
As with all Troon managed properties, the course conditions were superb, the carts and clubhouse were well maintained, the pace of play was perfect and the staff were all very helpful. The course itself was not very long, but the true challenge lies in the out of bounds on many holes causing wayward drives to be subjected to a stroke and distance penalty rather than a drop from a hazard. The course was within walking distance of the Equinox hotel and hotel guests can have their clubs stored at the course without a fee. The course offers many excellent mountain views which makes for a great day no matter how you play. The only downside...no driving range. I would return and play this course again without hesitation. Highly recommended.
