About Carson Hot Springs Golf Resort & Spa
The Carson Hot Springs Golf Resort & Spa in the Columbia River Gorge features a historic hotel completed in 1901, as well as cabins and a bathhouse added in 1923. The bathhouse offers a traditional experience with clawfoot tubs and vintage stylings. Mineral water is pumped directly into the tubs for an all-natural, healing bath, which can followed by a linen wrap and massage. There’s a restaurant at the resort and another one inside the clubhouse of the Elk Ridge Golf Course, a 6,461-yard layout dating to 2006. The outdoor pursuits of the region – hiking, biking, wineries and horseback riding – are at your fingertips.Facts

Challenging greens. Club selection at t box on breezy days essential.
Stunning views
Off the Beaten path Hidden Gem
Golf with a view
A beautiful golf course with beautiful Columbia Gorge views. Golf course in great shape. Greens in good condition but very tricky contours. Had a great day
Beautiful course along the Columbia gorge.
Easy drive from Portland - well maintained and very fun to play. Will be back!
Very picturesque
Greens lots of undulation and quick
Course layout ok. Lot of back and forth
Overall nice if weather is warm.
Jewel on top of The Gorge
Nice green grass. Beautiful views of the Columbia Gorge
Wide gentle fairways putting was a challenge and they have one double green connected. Kinda cool
Fairway bathrooms need regular maintence.
Beautiful place not crowded at all on Thursday we played
Worth the ride
A really fun golf course with some really great views. They have three sets of tees for the men that can dramatically change the golf course to suit your skill level. The greens , which are excellent , will always be a challenge as they have some brilliant undulation. My suggestion is to play the course many times to get that true local knowledge of how the greens break. If unsure, just look at the gorge, where the Columbia River is and know almost everything tends to break that way. This is worth the short trip to Carson to get this on your bucket list...and I think after playing this you will continue to fill that bucket with this course in mind. and it is just great to bring a group of friends to as it will give them something to talk about for some time.
Its beauty Is stunning
Well maintained course and Its very clean .Lots of elevation .
Great views and playability
Elk Ridge is my favorite course in the gorge. It has a great layout with challenging holes and excellent views. It was a HOT day and the wind was not blowing so was glad I packed plenty of fluids there is LIMiTED on course water and no beverage cart.
Annoyingly they were mowing the fairways and greens just as I made the turn. So I had to listen to the mowers blaring for 3 holes on the back. Otherwise a peaceful day playing behind a two some in a cart. I threw down two balls and kept up a brisk pace of play. Finished in 3:50.
They also watered the course heavily in the morning. This definitely slowed my roll.
So bring plenty of water on a hot day. And prepare for a great round of golf.
Learn the greens
1. The gorge wind can be quite influential.
2. Greens are all large and full of undulations. You almost have to spill water to figure the breaks.
3. Cart windshield was old and clouded up. They need to be replaced.
This course is layed out nice.
Course was in good shape, particularly the greens.
Would play it again and highly recommend it to friends.
Good course
Slow pace, but greens were great
Nice course
Great greens. Undulating but big and fair. Ball rolls true. Beautiful setting overlooking the gorge.
Dry greens windy
Not as pretty as pictures - not many trees very windy
Dry dry greens
Worth the trip
Beautiful setting, reasonable green fees, fun to play, You really need to give it a try. The only negatives would be slow greens and mason sand in the traps.
elk ridge what a find.
on a wednesday 8th day of june myself and two friends played at 8:24 there was only about ten other players on entire golf course. course is dry . greens can be tricky lots of undolation if really fast could be very diffucult. played blue tees found it somewhat challenging not a long golf course till wind comes up . see number 10 scorecard has it as a par 4/5. couple holes later a hole says it plays 310 but i had to play 5 iron second shot frommiddle fairway 145 out. only bad thing was nothing that showed you were next hole was. going back soon. $15
Elkridge is a gem
This is the type of course you would put on a short list of courses to play. This should be a venue for some really good tournements. The greens are very challenging and perfectly kept. A must play!
Great Experience
Great vistas. Very challenging greens. Wonderful time
Great course
I do love playing this course. I have played it several times and I a love the views. the best picture is from the black tees on number 2 looking back towards the clubhouse and hole 18. Remember to just enjoy the game and don't be hard on yourself with the putting.
Elk Ridge First Time
I thought the course was in very good shape. The greens were excellent. I teed off at 8:30 am and interestingly they didn't speed up at all in the afternoon. They were a lot slower than they appeared. I was pleasantly surprised by the course. The layout is too out and back for my taste. Too many parallel holes, but to their credit, with the mounding, you don't see the other holes and players a lot. Would recommend it to others. only 1 or 2 holes with houses on them, but for the most part the views of the gorge are great.
