Skamania Lodge
About Skamania Lodge
The Skamania Lodge in the scenic Columbia River Gorge has taken a new approach to golf with the complete redesign of its original course. The new 9-hole short course, The Gorge 9, and 18-hole putting course, The Little Eagle 18, debut in 2021 to make playing the game more casual and quicker for all players. The resort itself offers renovated guestrooms, suites with fireplaces and Treehouses perched high off the ground for the kid in everyone. Onsite activities take advantage of the natural surroundings with ziplining, an aerial park, axe throwing and outdoor basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. Within the gorge, go hiking, kayaking, fishing, tour six breweries or try wine tasting at 35 different wineries. Indoors, there’s a spa, pool, fitness center and game room.Facts

The greens were worth the trip
Front nine was great. Back nine was hard to bare.
Pace of play slowed to a crawl. I saw the marshal once on the back and it was a fleeting visit with no effect
Great course; but super slow pace back nine.
Always a fun course to play. Really tough for an average player like me; but fun. I just do not get worried about the lost balls in the woods along the narrow fairways. The few times I played in the past the pace was good. Friday, the pace was good the front nine; but really got bogged down and took about 3 hr. for the back nine. No marshall to get that front slow group moving. We were third or fourth group in the backed up process which had two groups at evey tee waiting to move forward due to the slow groups ahead of us. Also, this is the first time I paid the over $50 rate and probably will not do that again.
Pace of play Brutal
50 dollars to play today with cart, 5 hours to play 18 holes , great views but no way would I go back, , ranger going around the course never mentioned pace of play ,the 2 groups in front of us dreadfully slow, ruined any enjoyment,
Beautiful but very challenging
Skamania Lodge hosts an amazing looking golf course. The scenery was gorgeous...to include mountains, wild life, and a very naturesque feel. That said, it is a very challenging course. If you miss the fairway, you'll need to pull out another ball as the thick forest eats many of them.
Narrow
I drove an hour to play Skamania and would do it again in a heartbeat. The course is in excellent condition, fairways are smooth and running great! Greens are quick but manageable. What made this course difficult for me is the narrow fairways. Trees lining both sides on many holes make a straight drive a must. The staff was extra friendly, especially the starter. She was informative and super nice. I can't wait to play it again!
There are no bad holes. Splendid experience
The view from each tee is magnificent. The greens smooth and true. The rolling hills and sudden 'drops' are breathtaking.
Skamania is an enjoyable and challenging course to play.
Considering the amount of rain we have had received recently, the course was in great shape! Our play today was fast as there were very few players on the course. Skamania is a fun course to play and presents interesting and challenging situations on every hole. The staff is very cordial.
Hard to beat
For the average golfer this course is amazing. Mighr be a bit short for scratch golfers.
Gorgeous
Beautiful scenery and well maintained. A gem. Greens are moderate to fast. Saw deers!
very scenic and a very challenging course.
Love this course. Great layout, great views. Challenging course as it has very narrow fairways. Basically target golf which I enjoy. You will use most of your clubs and they also have great greens. Very well maintained. Go play it. You won't be dissapointed.
Hit the ball straight or bring a bunch of extra balls.
Take the time enjoy the many views, its well worth the time spent. I thought the rough could have been trimmed a bit. We lost many balls, they blend in with the little white flowers. Make sure you bring cold drinks, they don't have a beverage cart. Had a great time playing with family and friends.
Love this place
My wife and I have played this course before and we love the scenery and beauty of the gorge.
A real ball grabber for most
Scenic--Beautiful. One of my faves- We go once or twice a year as a treat for ourselves
beautiful views
course was in fairly good shape. very tight fairways and allot of elevation changes. fun course but bring your A game or it will be a long day.
Beautiful course, fun to play
The greens on this course are devilishly tricky but fun to play. Be happy with 2 putts per hole. The fairways were narrow but playable. The course itself is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by an Audabon Society Preserve. It's tough to keep your mind on golf with all of the beautiful vista's from nearly every hols. Unfortunatly, the course was very wet the day we played, it had recently rained for several days, so the fairways were kind of soggy so there was not much roll. Wherever the ball hit, that's where it stayed. If the fairways had been dry I'd have rated the Course Conditions as Pristine.
After the round we had a wonderful dinner at the Lodge restaurant. All in all, a great day at a great location
Great Day for golf..Great Golf course with beautiful views
Was an awesome day for golf.. Sunny.. Course was in great shape...Had a good time.. the only thing wrong was my golf balls.. they had to be broken because they kept going into the woods..
This course has great views of the Columbia River and fantastic forests bordering the fairways.
We played on March 25, a little early in the season, but the course was in great shape except for a few greens that had been plugged and were in the process of getting sanded. Most of the greens were in great shape and fairways were sound with a few exceptions of mushy areas. Great value and will go again.
Course was tough
I played the course early in the morning. It was a little sloppy from recent rain. Cart path only..
The fairways are TIGHT. For the most part if you hit it very far off the fairway you are in the woods. That is what makes this a challenging course. The greens were very slow on this day.
The slide bars don't work, but course is challenging, narrow fairways with lots of trouble.
Slide bars on review don't work except for pace of play
Tight fairways, hilly, fast greens.
Leave the driver at home for this one! Pretty short course, with tight fairways. A lot of blind tee shots. Greens were quick, but not unfairly so. Greens were fairly small as well.
