Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort

About Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Located a short ferry ride from Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula, the Clearwater Casino Resort, owned by the Suquamish Tribe, is more than just a waterfront casino. It has the amenities for a wedding, work conference, golf getaway or a relaxing vacation. The 183-room resort features a spa, six restaurants, four bars, an event lawn, indoor zero-entry pool, beach access and the excitement of casino nightlife that offers table games, slots, keno and much more. The tribe purchased the White Horse Golf Course, located 11 miles away in Kingston, in 2010 and made immediate improvements. A new clubhouse was added and local architect John Harbottle brought in to make the course more playable.Facts

Only the 2nd green was unavailable
Bunkers are in amazing shape just like most of the course. I would definitely golf their again. 18th hole is the the signature and worth the wait.
Great track. Couldn’t ask for better conditions this time of year. Will definitely be back! 👍
Pairing up people ?
First thing was a frost delay for about 1 hour which I’m not blaming the staff at all.The man at the desk was very nice and said he was going to pair us up with 2 other people and my golfing buddy and myself said oh boy? The 2 guys we were paired up were 2 of the nicest guys and it was a beautiful day.I had one of the best days golfing with 2 strangers and my golfing buddy in a long time! Thank you Whitehorse and Golfnow for making it happen. Thanks Ken and Allen.
Check if carts are allowed on path & suggestion for a better lunch option
I really liked this course. But the experience of not being allowed to take the cart off the path negated any good feelings I had for the course.
I found myself walking a lot. Carrying a lot of clubs as I never knew the distance or lie before walking out to the ball. A few times I wished I had another club. And on hole 10 I got into trouble and seemed to walk more than three holes combined.
Next time I will ask the status before renting a cart because it really left a bad taste in my mouth.
One more suggestion. I stopped by the restaurant to look at the food options. Nothing caught my eye. As I waited in the ferry line I had wished they had offered a “ferry box”, a to go food and drink. I’m hoping this suggestion gets noticed as I believe the people heading back to Edmonds / Seattle would really appreciate the item.
Disappointed that the course didn't tell us they had recently punched and sanded the greens not that it was cart path only. Won't have played there if i knew about either situation.
5+ hour round... apparently this is normal.
$200 for a 5+ hour round of golf. We waited for 10 minutes before every single shot. The pro shop told me after hole 9 took nearly 30 minutes that this was a normal pace of play. Every group was slow, not just the group ahead of us. That simply illustrated the fact that the course was over booked. It's not possible for a normal player to have fun when they're standing around for 10 minutes before every single shot. Not only does this make for bad shots but it's not conducive to a quality experience. I could excuse this if we booked a 1pm tee time... but we teed off at 8am. We walked off the course at 1pm. I've played golf a lot... this was hands down the slowest course I've every played.
Well worth the commute.
Challenging course in good condition at a reasonable price.
Good Friday afternoon golf
Good staff. Good course. Good conditions. Fast pace for Friday afternoon. Finished in less than 4 hours.
