A disappointing round
Last year when we booked this course through GolfNow.com, the price included a cart. This year I paid more and had to buy the cart separately. Not a good deal.
The greens had been recently sanded, the snack bar was closed, and there is no decent restaurant in the area for miles. The wet and windy weather was the crowning touch.
It was a disappointing round of golf.
Course is in Great Shape and Beautiful Surroundings
Course management has invested a great deal of time in money maintaining the course and it shows. Well groomed fairways and plush greens. Love the addition of the 150 yard sticks in the fairways. Niblics Café has great food, beverage and service. Call ahead using the # provided on the 9th tee box and pickup your food on the turn. It would be difficult to find a more professional and friendly pro shop staff, they are great. If Port Ludlow is a bit out of the way for you, do what you can to make it out for a round of golf, you won't be disappointed. If close by, come on out and enjoy a round at one of the best courses in the Northwest!
Great course
I played it 3 times in late March - early April. Great fun. The restaurant serves one of the best Rubin sandwiches ever.
Ludlow Saturday ‘
I lost $18 in a poker game in KP match play against my friend Bob the course is in good shape, we got stuck behind for old-timers and it took forever to get around ,three of them are pushing their cards it was like playing behind they Havencamps from Caddyshack!
Beautiful course
It’s a beautiful course with lots of hills, trees, doglegs, and hazards. I was amazed at how few people were there on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We just sailed along through the front nine, stopped for a nice lunch, and sailed through the back nine. I was playing with my nephew from the Seattle area and he thought it was a bargain.
Round of golf 3/14
Excellent front nine, but back nine wasn't as good. But overall, a great day!
Golf Round March fourteenth
Shot a great round today! Driving and iron play could’ve been better.
I lost $14.00 !
The course is in great shape considering there is still snow on the roads to get there, beautiful greens beautiful set up a lot of work is been done clearing trees and making the greens more excess a bowl I don’t believe it like this but it’s a beautiful new look, well worth the trip!
Beautiful day!
A beautiful chorus with a little damp fairway action, the course was in better shape than expected! And only one temporary green but well worth the trip ! ⛳️
Slow
The pro shop allowed a single to jump in on 10, we were already waiting on every hole....awful
A personal favorite course
I'm a avid golfer and this is one of my favorite courses. No two holes are the same. All holes are challenging. I've played it many times over the years, but this year, it's in the best shape I've ever seen it. Great value for the price, too!
Thanks
Nice winter/ fall day. Perfect conditions. Course in great shape. Back nine greens diabolical. Lol. Will be back.
Dry for this time of year!
Just played in a winter series tournament and had a great time! Course was pretty dry and greens were true. Staff was friendly and food was solid. Looking forward to coming back to this track in the woods.
Great views, variety, and woods
I generally play Port Ludlow once a year. The design is excellent, with great variety among the holes, and the aesthetics are fine -- it is quiet, the woods are close but not too close, and there are occasional great views of water and beyond. The course is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Had a lot of fun
Port Ludlow is a great course for all levels. The course is in great shape and the carts have GPS. I have played here a few times and it never disappoints. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge. There are lots of elavation changes and offers a different feel on each hole.
Beautiful views and great layout
My favorite course in the Pacific Northwest. Great course design, amazing views, and well maintained greens. Surprisingly low green fees for a course of this caliber. Highly recommended!
Original Pacific Northwest Golf
Golf in the Puget Sound, in its truest formation, can be defined by a round of golf at Port Ludlow Golf Course. Everything you could want in an original Pacific Northwest design can be found here, with character that can rarely be found anywhere else on the West Coast. Narrow forested routing, moderate topography changes that are managed with ease, and large putting surfaces with numerous hole locations that can change the way each hole is played. Course designer, Robert Muir Graves, spent over half his career in this part of the country, bringing us Black Butte Ranch, Canterwood, and Meadow Springs among so many others. As one of his earliest attempts at golf course construction, he carved out a fair, yet thought-provoking layout that plays the same as it did the day it was finished in 1975. Port Ludlow is an original Pacific Northwest destination, and in less than two hours from Seattle, can provide you with a golf experience that is as entertaining as it is beautiful.
Perfect Fall golf
A beautiful Sunday to walk nine holes with my husband after watching the Seahawk game! The course is still fast thanks to dry weather. The good aeration rate made this the perfect deal.
Thank you for this review- glad we could be part of your Seahawk Sunday!! Maybe 18 this Suinday since its a bye week???
Greens had just been plugged and only partially sanded but the plugs were scattered around the greens and all over the approach on many of the holes. This prevented any ball run up using the approach. Most traps were in poor condition and full of debris.
Course was in overall poor condition.
