Passing Thru
Passing through WV I decided to check this course out. I was not disappointed. Was able to book a room at the Lodge. This was a pleasant surprise. The lodging was great and not beats a restaurant on location that serves 3 meals at a great price and choices of healthy menus. Tee time was @7:56 a.m. and the pace of play was excellent. Definitely will stop again passing through.
Greens and Tee boxes in great shape
Wonderful course with great staff and a challenging lay out. Fairways and rough really dry but W.V. Hasn’t seen rainfall in quite some time. Truly enjoyed golfing here and if ever back in this area would definitely go there again!
Great condition
Considering the heat and lack of rain in the area, the course, certainly the greens, were in great shape. The only problem was the over priced food in the snack bar.
another great time at Cacapon
I can honestly say that the course has come a long way in the past 2 years. Kudos to the new Supt. Overall, a pleasure to play !
RTJ FOR A DEAL
Course is great. Bunkers needed help but everything else was top shelf.
State park course disappointing
Was very disappointed with being a state own facility and course as rough as it was.
Sand is horrible
Fairways not like they used to be.
Fully understand drought brownness around fairways but overall course was bad.
Tee boxes were destroyed
No repair sand seed bottles to fix divets.
Greens were so unpredictable no consistency
Some super fast some slow as pasture golf courses
Hugely dissatisfied esp with rates and again state course.
State put in such wince new hotel but no money in course.
Staff was great.
Food was very good were great takeaways.
Thanks god the old ranger wasn’t there who was a bit rude.
Starter on Sunday was awesome!!!
Great Experience
The course is in great shape and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend everyone to go play this course from far and near.
Nice course.
Greens were awesome. Some gravel and water in sandtraps. We'll maintained overall.
Hidden Gem in WV
What a wonderful course tucked into the mountainside. Great course layout with some uphill and downhill shots, a ton of sand, but very little water trouble. Course was in great shape. Only fault was that the sand traps held a lot of pebbles. Will definitely purely be back
