Problem needs solving
This is a difficult course, which is fine. I probably need an easier course until my skills improve. The real problem is the weekend guy in the club house. He is angry, unfriendly, and I am frankly tired of dealing with it, as I can only play on the weekends. I will be golfing elsewhere for a while.
Sorry to complain, but this is a real issue.
Rock hard
Course was exceptionally dry. Hard to find grass to get off of.
Misc.
The only issue we had was the group in front of us. There were three carts and six guys playing together. They were not interested in letting us play through until near the end of the back nine. Disappointing.
Beautiful golf course and fun to play. The greens are very difficult compared to other places I've played. I am an inexperienced golfer, however.
I love this course!
Cherry Hills is the BEST golf course in Door County. Please try it!
really cool course very challenging and hilly but really fun, fairways very dry and hard is my only knock on it but definately had fun
Best Value
A great Door County Resort Course. Where else can you golf in Door County for these prices? The day I played it had a links style course feel to it. Nice. Greens were perfect.
Coarse was dry due to lack of rainfall. Also some dead spots on the greens but not terrible. Overall it is a really challenging coarse to play
Great Spontaneous Golf!
Lots of options to sneak in and play with a short notice reservation or none at all.
Course is in great shape.
With fall colors coming soon, it is/ will be super picturesque.
Nice course, needs more love!
We love playing this course every summer. It's not too flat, but still walkable. Feels like there is little difference between ladies and white tees boxes.
This year, the course was very hard and brown. The rough was more dried grass- done areas that used to be tall grass between holes seems to be cut down.
We really like the staff and the course has a great possibility- but this year it just seemed a little well worn... very dried out with more sand on the fairway than dirt and short grass.
Course review
Very challenging course. Became frustrated with lack of signage on course. A few more signs for first timers to the course would be great.
A great course
My hubby & I stayed @ Cherry Hills Resort. The golf was A MAZ ING! So accommodating, we teed off 4 days in a row, just the 2 of us, which was great cuz hubby is recovering from rotator cuff surgery & im an average golfer. No stress, no one breathing down your back. Challenging course, signature holes (5 & 15 that are unbelievable! Can’t wait to go back!
nice course, great value
Haven't play this for a few years - much better condition this time. fun layout - some interesting holes -11 - the most irish style of hole I've seen in Wis - rolling fairway, elevated and slightly hidden green - and 15 - a par 4 where the second shot is hit off a cliff down to the green. Really fun course and a great value. Seems slightly less busy, since it is a bit south of the busiest tourist areas of Door County.
