Cherry Hills Lodge & Golf Course
About
Cherry Hills Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling countryside in Sturgeon Bay. The layout tumbles across a variety of elevation changes that make for some challenging, hard-to-read greens. Some have even compared them to Pinehurst's famous greens. Be prepared to have your short-game skills thoroughly tested. The front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine where the fairways are narrower and many are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. Water hazards come into play one four holes and there are a few strategically placed sand traps. The golf course is challenging but fair and not too intimidating for beginners, especially since at just over 6,200 yards, it is a manageable length. In addition to the course, there is also a lighted driving range at Cherry Hills G.C.

Exceeded expectations
We found this coupon on Golf Now and took a chance going out there while we were indoor county. The course far exceeded our expectation it was well kept and had lots of interesting holes and elevation.
Mediocre course, unacceptably rude staff
Course itself is mediocre at best but my biggest issue was with the course manager. My round was rained out by heavy rain & lightning that moved in very quickly, GolfNow app insisted the round was unrefundable, and none of the staff would do anything to give me & the friend I was playing with a voucher to play the round at another time. The on-call staffer finally gave me the manager's email, and that manager instantly became unbelievably rude, accusatory, and unprofessional toward me. That manager then went behind my back unknown to me and contacted GolfNow... and I suddenly received a refund from GolfNow (which is what I wanted anyway, I would soon have contacted GolfNow myself in an attempt to secure a refund). Upon reading reviews on Facebook and Google, I find that many people report extreme rudeness from this course's management. I will never return to Cherry Hills, and it's not a very appealing course anyway!
Really cool course!
The course had a great layout just needs a little more tlc, I would recommend to anyone because it was great for my wife and I because it wasn’t completely packed. Really enjoyed our time. Thank you cherry hill!
October bonus golf
Cherry Hills is a good value course. Better courses are available but you will pay at least double! It's a good course I'll be back!
Time has impacted this course
Played on a Thursday morning. Been years since I've been here. You can see that this course was set up as a destination place to stay and play. It would seem that time has taken its toll on the course. Appears that fairways are not watered. Looks like course was built on a shale rock ledge so the rough is........well rough. Tee boxes were in terrible shape. They are not repairing them at all. They would do well to shut down half of each tee box and replant them. Same goes for cart paths. Asphalt is terrible where they have them, all busted up and crumbling. Gravel parts of the cart paths could be graded. They would do well to shut down one hole each season to take care of the hole and make repairs. We did like the layout. It was hilly. The ball is either above or below your feet for most shots. Makes it challenging. Greens were well taken care of. Most are elevated. Watered but firm, fast and did not hold well. Even the best approach shots were rolling thru the green. Greens are not flat. Don't know that I had a straight put the entire round. We finished at noon, and the lounge and restaurant were closed. Seems odd even for weekday. Glad we went but would not go back again unless improvements are made.
Cherry Fantastic!
The course was in great condition considering the warm weather we've been having. They book the tee times with enough time in between that backups are not a problem. The pace of play was great, my only complaint was lack of water on the course. Other than that it was fun. Scott B.
Cherry Hills
Although a few area were under repair, The course was in excellent shape. The pace of play was staggered just perfect, ended up just over 4 hours for 4 players for 18.
Great Challenging corse
Great corse after lots of rain lots of tricks to make the corse fun
Hot Garbage
Not a lot of options in door county. No ranger, no starter, no on course beverages, backed up like you wouldn't believe, poor signage, and the cherry, a range mat tee on a par three. If these attributes are what you're looking for, this is your spot!
Cool Course
I always enjoy playing Cherry Hills. It’s a challenge and has some great views. Staff in the Pro Shop was very friendly and helpful. Course was in the best condition it could be, considering it hasn’t rained in like a month. I would recommend for sure.
