Nice course Good Challenge
Course was in really good shape!. Good challenge. Friendly staff. Definitely worth a look.
Fun Course
This is a fun course at a great price in the Dells area. It's not the top end 5 star quality that you get at Wild Rock or Trappers, but the layout is challenging, the greens are quick, and the clubhouse is nice. For 1/3 of the cost of the other courses, this is the best value around. We play this at least once every time we are in the Dells. Played it early season this year and some of the fairway areas were not grown in yet but the fairways were perfectly playable and the greens were perfect.
Only 9 holes
I only purchased this becauae I thought I was only looking at 18 hole options. $34 for 9 holes here was a bad deal. I won't. use Golf Now again without a credit.
Overall was a good experience for spring golf. Course was pretty busy, waited a little but wasn’t bad overall great experience
Great course, time for updates though.
First of all the course is one of my favorites in the area. That said though for the premium pricing in comparison to others in the area its lacking a few features. No GPS on the carts. Carts are noisy and underpowered for the hilly terrain. Clubhouse is basically just a check-in station. I absolutely love this course but for the price it is time for updates in order to keep up with local competition.
Beautiful course
This was my first time playing Christmas Mountain. The greens rolled nice, some subtle slopes I might have missed lining up a few putts. The front 9 on the oaks is really nice, the back was much more interesting due to a lot of elevation changes. I really liked the back better than the front just because of that reason. My only complaint would be there was a 6 some playing ahead of us, but they did let us play through soon after they noticed us. Without a doubt I will go back and play it again.
Silly Greens
In the past 13 years, this was the 495th course I’ve played. That said, I found the green speed and green slopes on many holes to be the most unfair of all the courses I’ve played. On the second hole I just barely started an 8’ putt and it rolled 40’ past the holes and off the front of the green. Several other holes were just as bad. The result is frustration and slow play. If the greens could be improved, it would be a very nice course.
I drove about 100 miles for a short Dells golf trip and was not eager to pay that much to play Trappers Turn, so I chose the Oaks course at Christmas Mountain. What a great course, and one on which you had think how you wanted to play the holes.
Plenty of variety with the holes, all laid out over very hilly terrain. The greens were very generous and in great shape! But you better have your "A" game as they were very fast with plenty of undulations.
Accuracy off the tees was a must as many holes were bordered on both sides by woods.
A definite play in the Dells area.
Average course at an elevated price
The course is in better shape than it has been in a couple of years but still not an $80+ round course. I can play a premium course like Wild Rock for $55 dollars per round.
