Perfectly Conditioned
Played as a three some at 627. Off the property at 905. Conditions perfect. All staff awesome. Range is great with the music playing. Greens superb. Be back to play one of the others on Tuesday
Greatcourse
All 3 courses are excellent! Just played the Player course and it was awesome! Very well maintained and a great layout. I'm a 5 handicap and like to give honest reviews of courses.
Great Course
Perfect playing conditions, always a very well kept course
Awesome course
Great layout with beautiful challenging holes. Not Rangeley very well.
Worth the money
It was worth it, they have everything nice and kept
If you haven’t
Treat yourself to a course like this at least a few times a year , the course was immaculate staff was very friendly and the pace of play was spot on. I look forward to my next visit it was worth ever penny.
Renovations Help
The course has been updated with a new concept in food with a redesign of the clubhouse and offers
In nice shape - but way too pricey
An empty weekend afternoon tee sheet and several open $50 tee times (weren't even hot deals) on GolfNow convinced us to travel north of the border to get in a round at Geneva National. I had not ventured there in several years so it was nice to get re-acquainted. If you showed up and didn't book via GolfNow they wanted and were charging $75!! I've played all 3 courses many times but have always found their peak season rates to be over the top/overly expensive for what you end up getting.....you're guaranteed to have especially slow wrong tee playing resort players peak season....and even in the early spring season we ran right up on top of some well prior to noon groups at the start of the back nine....we played the front very slowly on purpose in a leisurely 210 (we teed off at 1240 and the group in front of us teed off at Noon) in what ended up to be a futile attempt to have the course to ourselves and not be waiting on every tee box. Out of the 3 courses I tend to enjoy the Player course the most.....it just fits my eye better than the Palmer/Trevino courses. Course was in decent shape but the greens definitely need a good several week grow in....they were highly sanded. Many tee boxes also need some rehab. Paved cart paths are starting to get really bumpy and unkempt. A really sparse pro-shop (likely due to covid) as well as the overall facilities just seem a little tired/rundown so the operation is showing age. Potholes to avoid in the parking lot. Apologies Geneva National....your courses are just not a $100 plus experience anymore.....even on weekdays peak season. $60 weekday to $80 weekend values at best. It was nice to go back at a decent rate....but.for the $100 plus you require peak season .....I can play Spring Valley 4 times and have just as much (or more) fun and much less of drive....and most times wait less on tee boxes. I do recommend play at all 3 courses...they are beautiful and interesting rounds....but definitely aren't worth a c-note.
Palmer
Excellent and scenic course can't wait to the middle of summer
Screw Job - I will never play at Geneva National again
Such a shame. The Player course at Geneva National is my favorite golf course anywhere (and I have golfed in every state except Alaska). My son got his first hole and one on the Player on Father's Day no less.
I would buy a 10 round Gold Pass there every year until recently when I moved to St Louis. When I moved to St Louis I still bought the Gold Pass in 2019. I played 6 rounds in 2019 and asked in the pro shop if they would let me use the passes in 2020 since I moved out of state. They said sure and a guy even signed my passes
saying it was ok. Covid hit in 2020 and I just called before I booked a flight to play there this Father's Day
asked the pro Charlie Brown if it is ok to use my prepaid rounds. He said absolutely not. Very simple I will NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN. what would it cost them to do the right thing???
Great Course!
I’ve played “Players” and “Palmer”, both amazing courses. You won’t be disappointed playing here. Full tee sheet, but still ran at a reasonable pace.
great layout
greens not as great as other visits but that time of year
