Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
About Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a sprawling 1,300-acre, AAA Four Diamond property, home to 355 rooms and 29 new villas. It's a four-season destination with the Mountain Top ski and snowboard facility and the 225-room Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, an indoor-outdoor waterpark. Sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago, Grand Geneva invites city slickers to enjoy the laid-back lake life for a while. It started out as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club, part of Hugh Hefner’s empire. That chapter closed in 1981. Eventually, the property rebranded as a luxury golf resort in 1994 with fine dining and conference facilities for corporate clients. The Highlands and The Brute roll over hills and water hazards, creating distinct theaters for challenging and memorable golf. The WELL Spa + Salon, located in a separate fitness building, offers more than 65 treatments and services.Facts

A must play.
Everything about this course is perfect. The staff are terrific, the condition of the course is awesome and although a tough course It's fun to play.
Gorgeous Track
Totally did not expect the beauty of this course. Elevated tees, very hilly, and a lot of trees. The bunkers are huge! The course is tough, but fair. Definitely on the list for replays.
Very scenic and very well maintained fairways
Customer service is exceptional. Very well maintained fairways. Love the gps on the cart - gives a flyover of hole and shows other carts around which us helpful with blind spots. Pace of play was fast. The 2 of us finished in 3 hours.
Excellent course
The Highlands is a quality golf course and resort setting. Facilities are top notch. Played from the gold tees (tips) which was a challenge on many holes.
Last minute deal on Golfnow made this an exceptional value.
Country club experience
This course gave me the feeling of playing at a private course . The driving range was terrific at no extra cost.
ouch
I thought I was ready for the brute second shots are key I'll be back
Pro Shop Staff
The staff at the pro shop was not pleasant. They demanded a copy of our golf now receipt or they would not allow us to play. Luckily we had it in an email; otherwise they would have kept our money and turned us away. Horrible. The staff on course was great. Be careful of this place.
Fantastic
Course was in great shape. Staff was exceptional and the day was perfect. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Great condition but.....
5:15 hr. round. Waited on every shot. Very frustrating.
The Brute
Great facilities and frindly staff. We had a great time and the last 4 holes are a real challenge. The only negative was that their was a shotgun outing in the morning so the pace of play was a little slow but I would strongly recommend this course.
Banker
Bunker is toodifficutl becuase of soft. It needs more stiff in fairway bunkers.
Lipstick on a pig
Too many elevated greens. Bunkers ridiculously large. Stupid layout of some holes. Blind shots on fairways and to elevated greens. It all adds up to just a painful experience. Well maintained but not a course I would not play again
Brute is challening, but fair and enjoyable
They say this is the toughest golf course in the Midwest, and that might be true from the tips, but play the proper tees and it's most playable. It's also beautiful, excellently conditioned and most interesting with no two holes alike. Plenty of elevation change, water hazards and big bunkers add to experience. Finishing stretch of 16, 17 and 18 are particularly strong, and don't forget to check out the sculpture off the 16th green.
this course has great features
Great golfing experience at a great price good pro shop deals
Very good course, but one strange flaw
Found this course to be nicely designed and in excellent overall condition. Really enjoyed a couple of the excellent short par 4's .Hilly and somewhat wooded around the edges of the course gave it a nice feel. The course is well marked and the electric carts with GPS is a great feature. My only real issue with the course is the bizarre 16th hole - a road cuts right through the fairway about 210 - 240 yards from the tee. Trees line the left side, so you can't even see the cars coming. Two cars passed by as we stood on the tee - very strange for a course this nice. Only other small complaint is that some tee boxes need to be leveled off. With those exceptions, the overall experience was very good. Thanks to Golfnow for the good deal, otherwise it would be too expensive to play here.
The Brute is always Brutal!
The course was very scenic and in great shape, the greens have been aerated, which is to be expected this time of year. Always a pleasure to play at Grand Geneva!
Great course, one of the best in the area!
This is a beautiful course with stunning views and was in great condition. The one exception would be the greens since they were recently aerated, but that is understandable. The course was also very challenging, with well placed hazards. Keep your tee shots in the fairway or it could be a long day.
What a beautiful course!
First time golfing this course. What a beautiful course. Although the greens had been aerated, it was still a great experience golfing this course and what a great price!
Staff and price were great
Only drawback was the rough was way to high and made the pace of play slower. People looking for their balls and having a difficult time hitting out of it. This is a resort course you want your guests to enjoy it, not get frustrated by it.
Little bit of everything
First time golfing at this course. Enjoyed the variety of holes that it offered and the amenities were a plus. The GPS the carts included was a big bonus. The course is challenging but fair. The greens made the course difficult; they were fast and hard to read but receptive to shots from the fairway. Golfnow rate made the course affordable and a good value.
