The rock
Incredible course
Vista’s on almost every hole.
One of my favorite courses in Wisconsin
Last minute vacation tee time -
On vacation and got an unplanned round for about $15-$20 per person, called and reserved a set of clubs for $15. Clubs were Tour Edge, perfectly fine for the price. Came with a sleeve of balls and about 10 tees. Finish up in less than two hours.
Perfect place to squeeze in a quick, fun round of you didn’t bring your clubs or plan on playing while on vacation.
You will not be disappointed
First time playing this course and I loved it. If your in the Dells area and looking for a course to play this is the one!
First timer
Great course. Every hole was different. No back and forth holes.
Pace of play needs to improve
Pace of play ruined the experience. Have played here many times, and always enjoy the course- but NOT today. Just shy of FIVE HOURS- ridiculous!
Course conditions were not quite up to the usual high standards we see here. Pin positions were ridiculously difficult, then made much worse by all the spike marks and ball marks. Greens are often very quick, but that’s OK because they usually run true - but NOT today! Very bumpy!
Fortunately we’ve played here enough to know (hope?) that today was an exception… otherwise we’d consider the course over-rated.
Great Beauty
From the time we carted over to the first tee, we stopped half way there to take pictures of a doe and fawn within 20 feet from the cart. The course was a lush green, mowed to perfection. Greens were challenging, along with pin placement which meant getting a birdie or par in our group was golden. Throughout the round many deer frolicked near us. Beer carts came during timely intervals. The four of us all enjoyed the sights of the course and nature, our scores will allow us to return to challenge us for better scores next time. Can see why so many groups JR. PGA, WIAA. Amateur events....Love to play this BEAUTY.
THE CTUFF BUT IF YOU PLAY THE CORRECT TEES FOR YOUR ABILITY IT WAS FUN.OURSE WAS VERY
Very Challenging Course
Come with your Big Boy pants to this course. It is long with tees needing over 200 yards to get to the fairway. Definitely a long ball hitter course with hills and hazards. Super fun and challenging but a bit on the pricey side. We had a great time as experienced golfers but would not take a kid or beginner there. Not really for a relaxed vacation round with the family.
Pre-July 4 holiday golf day
Our regular foursome played Wild Rock on June 29th and we enjoyed it immensely. Course is definitely challenging with large mostly 2 tiered greens. Pin placements were somewhat more difficult than necessary, but we survived.
Pace of play ridiculous
This was my second time at Wild Rock. It’s a great course, great layout and the staff are outstanding. One issue and it’s a game changer for me, the round took 5 hours and 10 minutes. This is at least 45 minutes beyond acceptable. It was just a slog all the way through and I won’t return because of it.
