Wilderness Resort

This was my second time playing, and I brought my best friend along, as it was his first time playing the course.

We couldn’t have had better weather! The staff was awesome, from the second we stepped inside, until the second we left after eating at Whispering Pines! The course was awesome as always and played great and smooth on the greens. We can’t wait to come back and play another round! We played on the May special, round of golf, Wild Rock hat and lunch at Whispering Pines for $60. Worth every penny!

One of my favorite courses. Love the layout. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

The course is fun, but don’t let that fool you. It is also challenging. The course was in good condition considering they just had a high school invitational earlier in the day. Staff were great...just wish they had a cart person as you don’t see the club house until you are done. Will play this course many times over...thank you for a great round of golf without breaking the bank.

Best course I've played in the Midwest for overall rating. Grass was still filling in from winter, but the conditions were very good. The course is very playable, with wide fairways and wide rough lines. Many courses like this in the Midwest are usually lined tight with trees. We were challenged, but lost very few balls. $59 was a steal with a lunch ticket voucher and free hat.

Wild Rock is a gem in the Dells. If you get the early tee time and play quick you can spin this course in under four hours easily. Our group today kept pace (barely, they were flying) and finished our round in a little over 3 1/2 hours. This is a great track, testing you from the first tee. The DOG and his staff are great, the groundskeeping crew is one of the better staffs in the public sector. Will play here at least a half dozen times this year from Madison.

Fast greens that are in perfect shape. This is one of the best in the state.

One of my favorite courses based upon the variety of holes. Being earlier in the season it wasn’t in peak condition but getting close. Only gripe was our foursome was held up by a twosome with no one in front of them.

If you are in the dells area, I would recommend this course. Very scenic with a lot of elevated tee boxes. Lot's of deer around. This course is very nice with no two holes playing the same! The challenge starts when you get around the greens. A lot of subtle breaks on the greens and can be difficult if you are chipping from the wrong side. There are very few straight flat putts. We enjoyed the course very much and I would recommend playing it.

Really enjoyed the early season golf. The course is well maintained. Good challenging holes throughout with some forgiveness.

course was in great condition for time of year, greens rolled true, soft due to rain day before, pace of play was good. Will go back again this year.

Awesome course ,played fast. You don’t start at the club house for either front or back. So make sure you have everything you need because you won’t be able to grab anything at the turn

I love this course. One of my favorites in the whole state of Wisconsin. However, over the years that I have played here, one thing is consistent. The customer service is awful. They don’t have enough staff. Didn’t have the drink cart come around till hole number 12 and by then she was out of “ everything” is he told us. It’s just too bad. This place could be an awesome stop on a wisconsin golf tour but it seems that they cater to drunken bachelor parties and that is about it. Great golf though!

What a phenomenal, well groomed course. Highly recommend it.
