Wisconsin Golf in March!
Fairways and tee boxes mowed. Greens may have been mowed once a few days ago, but will take several warm days to recover from late season aeration. Very few golfers taking advantage of the early season rates which increase weekly until regular season arrives. Just playing golf in March in Wisconsin is a treat. The resort course will be immaculate but expensive during tourist season.
Golf season underway
Played an early season round in late March. Course was in very good condition for this time of year. Pace was fast. This is a very challenging and scenic course. Elevated tees the holes are laid out right in front of you. Will definitely play this again
Late Season Treat
My first time playing this course was very enjoyable. It was an unusually warm November day around 60 degrees and my friend and I wanted to take advantage and play here. The course had just recently been aerated which caused a bit of frustration on the greens but that’s the nature of late season golf. Overall I liked the course layout and appreciated the groundskeeper efforts to keep leaves and other debris to a minimum. I will be back!
Perfect
One of the best courses I've played! Beautiful fairways and views!
Hard and Fast
I played on a nice 70° November day. The course was in surprisingly excellent shape like all summer. If you haven't played here it is a must in Wisconsin dells. Wild Rock is in my top 10 favorite courses in Wisconsin absolutely beautiful.
Greens aerated and sanded... fall golf rough greens
Great course, great layout - one of our favorite tracks staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Greens were very rough... it is November.. aerated , sanded and bumpy. Wish I had known ahead of time...
Tough course.
Tough course. Narrow approach to greens , lot of water and hills.
One of my favorite courses!
We got a nice fall rate online, so it was hard to pass up hitting a round at this gem - even if the greens were aerated, we didn't care. Wild Rock is certainly one of my favorite courses - if not THE favorite. Note, if you come here during the summer, expect to pay premium prices.
Every hole on the golf course has character - I love that. No back-and-forth straight, boring holes. Rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, carries over quarry ravines, and undulating greens - Wild Rock will have you thinking about your next shot wherever you are.
The scenery is beautiful and the course is always in immaculate shape. I can't find one bad thing to say about it other than I wish it was a little closer to my home.
