When confronted with a very tight, narrow driving hole, it's our natural tendency to get defensive. It's easy to get tense and rigid and want to guide the ball where you want it to go. But that rarely, if ever, works. As Bob Rotella used to say, "prepare 100 percent, try 50 percent." You'll find that when you give up control of your swing, you'll gain more control of your shots and hit more fairways.
