I like the idea of soft thumbs to hold onto while putting, even if the thumbs are still on the putter.
Great drill
Thank you Nathalie. I have never seen anybody talk about thumb pressure before. I now realise that when I am putting well the thumbs are soft. It also means for long putts, including from off the green, the thumbs need to be firmer.
More good tips from Natalie!
Is the takeaway and the follow though the same distance from the ball? This would then make sure your tempo is good. So longer putts you would take it back further and follow through further?
I’ve seen where your follow thru should always be the same and I feel in a longer putt you would be jabbing at the ball. Thank you in advance.
Love it
Great tip!
Good idea, however, I'm all thumbs. Seriously does it make much sense when you have been learning to control a ball by acceleration in about 10 sports to suddenly switch to the steady state theory?
