Disapointed
I played this course growing up and weekly in my early adulthood. It was immaculate and the pace of play was monitored by rangers, who were not afraid to stop you and let others go.
That did not happen here. I played 8 holes in 2.5 hours. I asked to play through ...naaaaa. Group in front was playing best ball....5 of them. All poor players too. I had enough on 9 and dove by them to the club house.
Now the guys in the clubhouse are top notch. but.................they charge me full price to play another 9 on the back. I would have thought they would have been a bit more lenient, since they remarked about the slow play....they are young though.
You have a beautiful course...... you just have to manage it. I would never go back
Alot of winter kill in the fairways
The course is in a little rough shape to start the season, alot of winter kiss grass on the fairways and a little on some of the greens. They are still doing work on the new cart paths too. So give it a month or so and it should shape up.
Slow pace of play
The course is in pretty decent shape overall. The pace of play is horrible though. There is also multiple blind spots on hole 7, a bell or something needs to be placed so folks know when it’s safe to tee off.
Great course in the center of Bismarck
We played this course April 11 2025 conditions were very good. The course is a bit dry but all the courses are this year so far. The greens were good fairways were great. The staff was very friendly.
First Time Playing this Beautiful Course
This was my first time playing this course. I loved the layout and the hills overlooking the city on a perfect day.
Course is in great shape
Nice medium difficulty course in great shape. It was very windy today but the course is fairly well protected so it didn't affect play much.
Nice course with good elevation changes
Nice moderate difficulty course in great shape and fun to play
Worth Playing
Really enjoyed the layout. Not your typical parkland style 100 year old course. My only constructive criticism would be to avoid sprinkling and lawn mowing in the middle of the day. Seemed like I had at least one mower on every hole.
Nice Course, great staff
The course is in the best shape it has been in years, no winter kill on the greens or fairways so play was great.
