Regulation at Reeves Golf Course

I booked a tee time for 11:57am on a Monday for my brother in law and I. The starter had us start on 10 which was ok by us. When we rolled up to the tee box, there were 8 golfers (2 foursomes) going before us. No one was teeing off on hole 1 which was odd. The starter was not very flexible with changing where we tee off either. Reeves is a great course and fun but don’t go there if you are limited on time. The white tees is around 5800 yards and we had to wait on every hole to hit and it took us over 4 hours.

Came in for the Cincy Open decided to play golf, Rough was very Rough. Hit a ball and if not in fairway LOOKY LOOKY UGH. WOULD NOT PLAY AGAIN,

Tee boxes were mostly dirt for all the holes, there were a couple nicer tee boxes that had actual grass which was nice. Greens were fine, but fairways were iffy. Lots of random patches of dirt and different types of grasses growing. Very bumpy on the carts. Not worth the money to ride 18 in these conditions

So I have played here twice. The first time a year or so ago and I was told they over booked so they had us play the back 9 two times. So then I go back Friday and the same thing happened again but this time it was the front 9 twice. I guess they just need to be better at booking

The course was in good shape when we played it. They have removed a few more trees in order to make it a far more forgiving place to play.

The staff is normally very friendly when I come out to play and the folks working on April 9th were no exception.

I did not use the driving range prior to playing the course, but they do have a large practice area that you can use to hone your short game skills.

I have always enjoyed playing Reeves because it is “friendly” for mid and high handicap players. It is also a great place to play if you have hip or knee problems (since the course is fairly flat).

The course was in excellent condition but the rough was higher than usual. We spent way too much time looking for balls that missed the fairway. Several trees have been removed making the fairways even more open.

I felt like I was playing at the masters. The rough was very high. Not your fault with all the rain. It was very challenging but was still fun. I love the course. The fairways were tight. Greens were fantastic as usual.

This course 's greens and fairways were in the best condition of any course I have played this year.
