winter
I think the harsh winter may have had some effect on the fairways and greens. But they were not bad...just a bit less than they have been in the past. Still a great course!
Worst Course Conditions I’ve Ever Seen In My Life
Worst course conditions I’ve ever seen in my life. Completely unplayable and should not be open. This place was an absolute dump. Some holes you can’t even get out of the cart without water going over your shoes… in the fairway! Lost 8 balls in the middle of the fairways. Mud and cart tracks everywhere. No sand in any bunkers, just all mud. Greens slow and in bad shape. Tees in really bad shape. Could not believe they allow people to play in these conditions and charge people who then just destroy the course on carts.
Nice hilly course
Nice hilly course with great views! Greens were rolling great.
Hilly course with great views
Course was in good shape. Beautiful views on top of hole #3 and #4. Greens were rolling nice also.
Its just so bad now
This place is in such bad shape it shouldnt even be open. Really sad cause it could be nice. Some holes you cant even walk in the fairway its so wet. Tee's, fairways and greens all in bad shape. Tree's down everywhere. More dandelions than grass.
Too wet, too busy, too soon
Late April, 2026
Too wet to really be open for walking or with carts, lots of standing water, lots and lots of mud. Greens were descent.
Too busy, poor young man at the desk was completely overwhelmed with so many people in clubhouse, needed more help.
Too soon in the season for management to really be operating at this level
Course conditions can't be beat!
Great course! I love to play a variety of courses and so far the conditions of this course have always exceeded my expectations.
Poor value for the money
Tee boxes & greens in awful shape. Rough was in better shape than the fairways. No ranger to move groups along. Two foursomes of teenagers in front of us did not belong on this course. Only positives were the condition of the sand traps & paved cart paths.
Great value and playable
I’ve played a few rounds at sunset and enjoyed them all. Often there are deals available making round affordable The course layout is tree lined and interesting for high handicap golfers. Layout makes cart better then walking. Tee boxes aren’t perfect. Bunkers aren’t difficult and some are hard or with Standing water but fairways and greens are well maintained. I wish the restaurant opened earlier at least for a breakfast sandwich and coffee and never saw a cart girl.
Fantastic value, challenging course.
We had a great day on the course at Sunset Ridge. We were behind a small tournament that had some slow play which made for a longer round this day but normally this isn't the case. The staff is fantastic!
