Nice local golf club
Super good price, friendly staff, good pace of play, an overall beautiful day. Will definitely come back restaurant was a little disappointing. Warm beer and lousy Philly cheesesteaks.
Not the worst, but certainly not the best!
Do yourself a favor - spend an extra 20-30 bucks and play another course. The greens were like shag carpet and slow as molasses. Decent course for someone that is a high handicapper or an occasional golfer, but if you're even a semi - serious golfer, I'd recommend playing elsewhere.
Great pace
I went out as a single 20 min early, and didn't catch up to the group in front of me until the 12th hole! Frontrunner nine in 65 min
July 1st round
The staff was courteous, and the course was in great condition. The greens were excellent.
Great place
Love playing at this place because it’s a great course and the pace of play is always good. Will come play here time and time again.
Shepard Hills didn’t disappoint .
Great shape and pace of play was perfect. Must have been the unusual high temps keeping golfers away. Greens a bit slower than usual. But in very good shape. Always a plus I didn’t hit a home.
Worth the drive
Live about 50 miles from this course but can say for sure it’s worth the drive. Wide open fairways and great greens. It’s a gem 💎 please try this course out
Good shape for so early in the season.
They just opened for the season not too long ago and the course is already very playable. Open layout is good for all types.
My crew didn’t believe
Well if I could recommend you add a course to your 2026 schedule this one would be IT!! Greens were amazing and kinda old school so you could put and feel comfortable and confident. Staff A+ course was a 100!! If you are going to drive 1 & 1/2 hours this is the place to visit!!!
This course is great
This course is a hidden gem in Wescoville PA. Would definitely recommend.
Shepherd Hills Golf
Shepherd Hills is an hour drive for us but well worth it. We enjoy everything about the course for an average golfer and considering the lack of rain this season, it’s in good shape. The new golf carts have been great.
Great Pace and price. Incredible-looking after-golf options. OK golf
Booked as a single and played in a 3-ball group which burned though this course in not much over three hours. Best place of play I've experienced all Summer, on any course within 50 miles of this place.
The greens and tees were in good shape. The fairways were generally good, too, but areas just off the fairways are starting to become sparse and hardpan. That makes for some tough bounces - but you're not supposed to be hitting to those places anyway.
I found the layout to lack a bit of variety. I'd guess eighty percent of the par-fours were mostly-straight, 350 yards in length, plus or minus ten-or twenty-yards here-or-there, and without interesting hazards or layups. The par threes were all 150-160 yards, IIRC.
The options for hanging out and having a beer and burger and beer after your round looked *great* - but I confess to not having sampled them.
Diamond in the rough
Drove an hour one way to play it and was pleasantly surprised. Fun course
