About
WGC Golf Course in Xenia is consistently voted as the top course in Greene County. The course originally opened as a nine-hole course in the mid 1920s. The traditional layout was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course was later expanded to a full 18 holes with Michael Hurzdan overseeing the new addition. The layout is both challenging and player-friendly thanks to five sets of diverse tees, including "family tees," which are designed for younger or less experienced golfers. The tees give them the option of playing a shorter golf course but will keep them interested with several opportunities to score. From the tips, the course is a formidable test for more advanced players. WGC Golf Course also boasts one of the Miami Valley's best practice facilities with a driving range that has three mounded target greens and two practice greens for putting and chipping.
