Sand Springs Golf Course
About
Sand Springs Country Club was founded on the same passion that sears the soul of those who play this ancient and wonderful game. The meticulously maintained public par 72 course stretches over 6613 yards. Multiple tee boxes are in place to fairly challenge the skills of all golfers. Bent grass greens tees and fairways are the ultimate playing surface and contribute aesthetically with subtle shading between fairways greens and rough.

Sand springs
As always a great option in the Mountain Top area. Local knowledge of the course helps tremendously, so don,t be disappointed on your first round
Long Pace of Play
Stuck in between two groups in the middle of a charity golf outing. I have never seen so many non golfers riding around in carts with no awareness of golf etiquette. Many times the group behind us hit into us while we were on the green. The course is beautiful but I didn’t anticipate 5 1/2 hours there. Staff was friendly and a member of our foursome left a personal item in the cart by mistake and the pro shop held it for him until the next day. No negative comments about the course or staff but the tee times during events should be unavailable.
Mixed Bag
Sand Springs is a bit rough around the edges, but the value is still good. It's a Pocono-esque course with woods on both sides of most holes. Our biggest issue was that we were sent out in the middle of a charity scramble with teams in front of us and behind us. The round took 5 hours, and I've never seen so many non-golfers (teenagers associated with the outing) driving around in golf carts without a clue about golf or their personal safety. Odd day.
Bear sighting
Had a fun round of golf along with seeing a baby bear chasing a baby deer.
$529 round of golf
Booked here on a deal as a single, same time as two other people had booked. Asked the gentlemen in the proshop who I’d be paired up with as playing as a single would be slow on a Saturday. He said, “we don’t do that here, we don’t pair people up.” Umm, that’s your job sir.
So I start On one as a single, playing into a single, who was playing into two twosomes. (Paired up with him on 4th tee). Greens were awful. I get It, it’s early season, but you had to hammer any putt as the greens hadn’t been cut yet, and there were bumps everywhere from punching. I do get this is a part of maintenance, but I’d have been upset if I paid The full price of $55.
Twosome ahead of us bailed after nine, so pace picked up a bit on back.
The $500 is the deductible I paid Because while I was golfing, a ball hit my car window in the parking lot. If you’ve ever played this course, you’ll no it’s not humanly
Possible to unintentionally hit a car in the lot from golf course or driving range. Woman behind bar said she’d pass
My info along to person in charge who was away for weekend. Heard nothing.
So basically $529 for a worker who wouldn’t pair people up, trash greens and a busted windshield. Never again Sand Springs.
Course is great! Back 9 is the best.
Course and staff were great. Food was great as well, just wish their hot dogs, soft pretzels or something small to eat for lunch between each 9 holes. Unless I missed it we had to go in the actually bar area to sit for almost 45 mins to eat. Wasn’t a big deal, just wanted something smaller and quick to get back out to hitting balls
Tournament going on
This is the second time in three years that I drove 2 hrs. to play this course and there was a tournament going on The management told us that they wouldn't hold us up. 3 1/2 hrs, to play 9 holes and there wouldn't be enough time to get 5 more holes so we quit . called golf now next day Monday a.m. ,they credited me 9 holes and 2 $20.00 promo codes which maybe covered the gas .would have liked to play a whole round on my day off. they should of credited me for the whole round.
Sand Springs
Nice course. First time playing here. Some local, knowledge helps as there a few shots I would have played differently, but will definitely come back and play again
Great potential
I was in the area for work and decided at the last second to play. The course started off great but didn't finish great. There were a number of areas that were unplayable due to water and swampy mud. This included one green that was partially under water. The traps were wildly inconsistent. One was hard like kitty litter while the next was super fluffy sand. The course was really nice but these issues need to be addressed.
