About
Golf course designer Jack Nicklaus says Nicklaus Club-Monterey evokes similarities to The Old Course at St. Andrews, Augusta National, Pine Valley and Pebble Beach, which is certainly high praise from the Golden Bear. Nicklaus credits the natural topography, where he was able to take advantage of existing hills, canyons and oak groves. He was able to create natural looking bunkers, which, combined with the native grasses, give Nicklaus Club-Monterey a bit of a British links-style feel. Featuring four sets of tees, the club is open for public play on Mondays.
