Reviews
Continues to get better
My second time on the course since new ownership took over and I am impressed with the updates and changes they have made to this place. What a turnaround its made. Only small complaint would be a few thin tee boxes but see where they have made improvements to other ones. Greens a good , putt smooth and hold a shot. The fairways are excellent and the new carts are a pleasure to drive. It just shows what a little money and a little pride can do to a course. Kudos to the staff and new owners.
Deep pine forest & lake
Quiet & smooth course
Improved course but staff still same unfriendly
The staff does not follow tee times reserved and not professional from checking in and to starting tee- and applies cart sharing rules on the fly which could be acceptable on full schedule but not on very open schedule which provides enough carts. Will not come back to play here.
Great layout in good condition, friendly staff.
I really like playing here. The course is in very nice shape, with only a few scruffy tees. The layout is very nice, winding through the trees. The greens are in great shape. The course is challenging but not too much. It’s worth the 50 minute drive to get here.
Wow! What a turnarond
This place is no longer a dog track. The previous owners let this course go badly. This was my first time to play since the new owner took over and I have to give kudos to him. Wow what a turnaround. Worth every penny you’ll enjoy it.
Great course
This course is in great shape and they were working on the tee boxes while we were there. Hard course but in excellent condition.
Optimistic hesitation
I read golf course reviews before I select a place to play. I had mixed reservations about this place. Since some of the reviews on golf now weren’t so great, but were also kinda old. Some of the Google reviews were a bit newer. Hence the title of my review. It’s my understanding that this course is under new management and since I hadn’t been here previously, my review only reflects this outing. The course layout is challenging, forgiving. You can recover from a bad shot. Bunkers are filled with play sand and you get a good bounce. Fairways are decent with some weeding, but you can tell they are working on it. Greens are in above average condition and were a bit slow to what I’m used to playing but I like it. I don’t prefer fast greens because of my putting technique. Overall I’ll definitely be back.
Best Turnaround I've Seen!
If you avoided this place in the past because it was an absolute goat track, please try it out again. The greens and teeboxes actually have grass now. The fairways are no longer growing dandelions at every step. The bunkers actually have sand now. It's become an actual golf course! The new owners deserve medals for the work they've done here. Please go try it again!
Great Improvement
This course has improved 110% since new owners!
We have Played it for years and it was a goat track! They have done a great job on bringing it back to a fun course!
Great course
Grass and greens were overall pretty good. Beautiful area. Only downside is the outdoor gun range nearby so it feels like you’re golfing near Kabul
