Lucas Oil Golf Course

Course is in the worst shape it's ever been IMO. Weeds on tee boxes/fairways and have not kept them mowed! Greens where just aerated so that made the whole experience even worse. $40 twilight rate and not worth $20 right now. They are on the verge of losing it. Shame because it used to be in really great shape! Last year they got it back by the end of the season after a rough spring so hopefully they can do it again. In the meantime, they should adjust their prices because it's a goat pasture right now. Don't know what is going on there. Staff is always friendly however and the course is fun to play!

Been playing here for years, and love it. Greens are always rolling good, and when aerated they recover quick. Fairways can be hit or miss, but this early in the year thats expected. Staff inside has always been nice and the food/drink is amazing.

Tee boxes, fairways needed cutting really bad. You could lose your ball on the tee box and definitely in the fairways. Bunkers need sand in them. The greens had been aerated with large tines so putting was impossible. Not a great time to play this course in April. A couple of the holes were stupidly laid out and the entire flow of the course you needed a road map to navigate. Overall I liked the course because of the uniqueness of this track except for hole 17 which was ridiculously difficult. I will be back to see if conditions improve in mid June.

Been playing here for years now, and it's come a long way. If you haven't been here since they redone it, you need to!

First, it was cart path only. They have had a ton of rain lately. This affected the playability of the course.

Greens rolled well and were receptive.

Tee boxes for the most part were very good.

A lot of fairways had dead spots. It appears they are re-seeding them, so hopefully will improve next season.

Fairways and roughs were very long. I’m sure this is due to the rain. They were out cutting fairways and roughs.

I play this course every couple of years. It improves each time, but still some work to be done.

Desk staff and bar staff were great.

I’ll be back, but not this year.

Should be a $35 rate. Weedy, patchy tee boxes. Most Fairways absent of grass throughout. Greens average to good. Shot 1 over par but had to move ball all the time to find grass.

I like this course. It’s tough, especially on the back, but it has some very cool holes and views(be sure to go to the black tees on 4 or 7)

Lucas Oil Golf Course is located in a fairly scenic area of Southern Indiana. The view from some of the holes, especially on the back nine, is really nice. The course is somewhat challenging, but fun to play. The only complain about this round wasn't the golf course's fault. A very slow foursome in front of us (we were a twosome) who wouldn't let us through, and a foursome behind us playing so fast that they were sitting watching us tee off on every hole made the round a bit stressful on the front nine. Fortunately we got around the slow group at the turn, and the back nine went very smoothly. A nice course that I would recommend.

I played this course about 10 years ago, before it was owned by Lucas Oil. It is in much better shape. Greens were nice, fairways for the most part were good. Bunkers, as at many moderate level courses needed better maintenance but we did rake and play so that helped. The setting was very nice and it is unique near the end of the front nine as you play through the old town that has since moved due to flooding. I would definitely play this course again.

The staff was very friendly and the food from the grill was very good. We played in front of and behind local golfers and they were all very friendly.

Always in good condition and friendly staff. Fair, challenging and fun to play.

Pace was excellent. Beautiful course with such scenic views. Some of the greens had a few problem areas but I would deffinately play here again.
