Tarandowah Golfers Club
About
Tarandowah Golfers Club has a unique layout that closely resembles traditional Scottish links golf courses. There are undulating greens and sloped fairways that are made up of bentgrass and wispy fescue. Although there are no water hazards, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts more than 100 deep, sod-faced bunkers that prove to be just as challenging if not more. Strong winds blow through the golf course, a factor that will affect your game if not careful. Tarandowah Golfers Club has several tricky uphill par 4s, but its longest and one of its more challenging holes is the par-5 14th, which stretches to 588 yards.

Way too slow for a weekday round
Please stop packing the course like this. We quit after 9 holes and won’t be back
Great experience
I have played Tarandowah several times over the last 10 years. The staff are always welcoming and awesome to deal with. The course is truly a complete test of golf. If you enjoy links style golf and hitting every club in your bag, this is one of the best golf experiences in the province you will have. I always look forward to playing at Tarandowah and have never been disappointed.
Great course. Cannot wait to go back.
I played this course six or seven years ago in the pouring rain and was unable to get a true appreciation of it. This is Golf. This layout is truly fun if you can appreciate the design factors of it. It’s the type of course I think you need to play five or six times to truly understand how to play it. Got beat up on the front nine and settled in on the back but loved every minute of it. Only downside was the greens had recently been sanded and so the speed was inconsistent. But that’s part of maintaining a golf course so not a big deal. Played with 2 great members Dave and Hugh as well which added to the enjoyment. Cannot wait to go back.
It needs some TLC
The course has been in better condition before, its a true links course that challenges you to hit every fairway. People at the course are friendly and welcoming. Tee box are in good condition, unfortunately the greens seem to have been aerated sometime prior to my round, ball jumped continuously. for the most part pace of play was good and done in 4hrs.
Well worth it
Phenomenal golf course, great price, great staff. Exceptional experience
Course management key
Good course. Gotta keep it in play, otherwise you'll never find your ball.
Ok but not great
Great layout. Great greens. Tee boxes level but chewed up. Whole course could have used a little tidying up in grounds conditions. Expexted more for price.
Pace of play
Front nine was excellent under 2 hours got to number 10 3 groups on tee and no Marshall anywhere in sight to keep things moving very slow foursome in front
Links Style with a Twist.
This course is one of my favorites. Smart play around this place will net you good scores. Keep it in the fairway and play smart rewards will follow. The staff here are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. If you are in the area, play this course!
Great layout.
Some challenging holes. Need to keep it out of the fescue.
Tarandowah
Great course although it can get dry real quick in the absence of rain.
Great deal via GolfNow.
Super hard course.
This course is tough. It's a links course, so it's super windy, hilly, and has tons of bunkers. The staff are awesome. I just think the green fee is a bit much. That's the only thing stopping me from playing there more.
Horrendous
I have been playing this course for over 15 years and it's present condition is by far the worst I have ever seen it. Sparce grass on the fairways leads me to think that little or no fertilizer was used. Greens were aerated 3 weeks ago without being top dressed and this has led to greens being of varying speeds. I was very disappointed in thee overall condition of the course
Tarandowah mid week play
This course is everything it is reputed to be in terms of a true to Links style of play. The course is hardened earth, fast and windswept on most days. On the rare day When the wind is down you have to take advantage because they are few. The greens are grainy in the spring which can add to the challenge.
I have played here since it’s opening year and it never disappoints.
Great layout. Poor conditions
Course layout was nice but the conditions were not great. They also didn’t let us know that carts were not allowed. So I only could play 9 holes with my bad knee. But paid for 18. They wouldn’t give me a raincheck
