About
Tucked away in the Laurentian Mountains along the Riviere du Diable, Le Maitre de Mont Tremblant has a stunning landscape that combines shoreline and woodlands. The golf course sprawls across 260 verdant acres. The lush, picturesque surroundings are the perfect setting for a round of golf. The course is a Fred Couples design. The landscape features dramatic elevation changes covered with forests of mature pines, which Couples fully utilized in creating a challenging layout. Meandering streams and tranquil ponds are also situated throughout, coming into play on a few holes. In addition to the course, there is also a practice facility featuring target greens that golfers can use.

Delay
Showed up for 150 T time, checked in 90 minutes before to have lunch ( which was great). Pro shop guy came to inform us there was a half hour delay due to frost earlier in the day. Coincidently, we overheard members mentioning that they got their days mixed up but the pro shop were able to squeeze in their 5 groups !
I understand members come first - but just tell us the truth. Incidentally, I ran into a lady who teed off at 1030 - on time.
The "Masters" at its finest
Awesome course, conditions are much better that they were. Rebuilding Clubhouse that burned in 2018. Should be ready for the 2020 season.
Hard Spring has taken its toll
This course is Tremblants best under normal circumstances but not today !!! I had heard rumours that the course was suffering but now I saw with my own eyes it's true. The greens have been hit hard and despite the fact we are 3.5 months into the season they have not managed to get the grass to grow. It's a great course but one cannot overcome the condition that has the local Clublink members pretty riled to say the least ! Worst still is the blame laid on the spring weather by the club when courses just 2 miles away are in great shape.
A must play in the Tremblant area
Not far from the Tremblant village. Course is well designed and has holes that can be attacked by either length or shot making. Greens were in good shape but a bit slow for my liking.
A private club with public access
Le Maître, which translates in English to ‘the master’, ranks as the best course in mountain country 90 minutes from Montreal. It is a private course owned by ClubLink that is accessible for public players only through a hotel such as the Fairmont Tremblant where I stayed. It gets rated so highly simply because it doesn't torture players with the difficult elevation changes among the rocks that occurs regularly at other local resort courses. This is straight-forward, country-club golf at its finest. The wide fairways roll through the beautiful Canadian wilderness. There's plenty of water and wetlands to mess with your head. Safe passage ways are available, though. A pond featuring a landscaped waterfall separates the sixth green and 18th green. The region's best clubhouse sits on the ridge as a backdrop. It served as shelter for my threesome during a fierce rainstorm when I played in the fall of 2013.
Visually challenging
Very nice layout. Course condition was not great but very playable. Magnificient decor. A very nice place to play
