Nice public course cant beat it fir the price
Overall a good experience, we played the Williow Silo course Willow was nice great greens pace of play overall was ehhh we waited 5-10 min in every box but still finished in 4 hours. Silo fairways were not in as good condition as Willow but still had nice greens. Club house lacks in pretty much everything ( no alcohol but they allow byob) range balls were 3 out of 10. Paid $87 for 2 people great value overall for the money an would definitely go back if in the area.
Great round
Staff was excellent and the greens were in good shape even in this heat.
Two days after 2” rain
Course was very wet, puddles and ponds in fairway. Cartpath only. Silo course greens were in good condition, magnolia course greens had been recently states and sanded. Pace of play slowed down due to course conditions and cart path only. Wonderful layout and challenging holes.
Great course
Ben geren is my favorite track in Fort Smith, they keep it in great condition!
Overall really good experience.. would like to see a little better pace of play instead of sitting behind a 6 person for 5 or 6 holes.. course looks great. Played really well. Staff was super friendly and proffesional.. definitely would come back again.
Ben Geren
Great place to practice your club selection and long irons.
Slow Play Ruined the Round
Ben Geren is usually a solid value, and with a GolfNow promo code, the deal was even better. Given the recent heavy rainfall, the course was in decent shape overall—though several cart paths were still underwater and multiple areas hadn’t been mowed, leaving standing water in play.
One frustrating aspect was the lack of tee-time management. With three separate 9-hole courses, you’d expect the clubhouse staff to distribute groups more evenly. The two 9-hole courses I was given were a nightmare. As a single, I got stuck behind two older gentlemen with an extremely slow pace of play on both nines. They refused to let me through or allow me to go around, despite the obvious delay. There was no marshal in sight to assist.
It completely ruined the flow of the round and made it impossible to get into any rhythm. I noticed the third 9-hole course looked nearly empty—clearly a missed opportunity by the clubhouse staff to improve pace and experience. Worst experience I’ve had at Ben Geren—and I’ve played there quite a bit. The value is still good, but management really needs to improve course flow and post-weather upkeep.
Great course for the money
Greens are some of the best in the area. When it’s dry it’s a great looking course.
Best greens in the River Valley at the moment! Pristine Condition!
