Stunning course. Quirky carts.

Pros: Layout, hills, views, condition, challenge. Absolutely beautiful.

Cons: No range. Carts that have faulty technology and annoying messages. For example: every time my wife wanted to know the distance to a bunker or something off the tee, the gps system wouldn't tell you because it thought we were off the path.....but clearly we were on the path :)

No driving range per se but came to play not practice.

Nice people all around. Paired w nice guy.

Brat at the turn was solid

Plenty of places to loose (and find) balls

Greens and fairways were all but perfect.

Manitou passage

Had a great time playing this course- beautiful layout. Greens were a little beat up, and unfortunately, there was no beverage cart on the course which we would have like to see.

Nice day on a nice course

Play was slow with several groups with beginning golfers. A ranger to keep play moving would be welcomed. Also, a beverage cart for on course refreshments on a hot day would have added to the experience.

Everything was really nice

Layout is great. Interesting but not too hard. Course and greens in excellent condition. We were caught behind a slow group but they let us play through at the turn. Got around in just about four hours.

Greens were sanded but puttable and no ballpark issues on any green. Course maintenance is excellent and layout very playable for a variety of skill levels. Will definitely return. Chicago

Spring 2026

The course just opened for the season and in the condition we expected. Not as lush as it is in the summer but that’s to be expected. We really enjoyed the course and the hot deals rate was an amazing value.

NW Michigan must play list.

Manitou is a well kept and nicely laid out course. The greens roll true and on the quick side of the scale. Well placed bunkers are in good condition. It's worth the money and should be considered if you're in NW Michigan.
