Golfer Reviews
Infinitely private, infinitely awesome
As a caddie, I get to play this course for free, so I know the course better than most. This Seth Raynor design from 1919 has gone through multiple changes over the years, and it’s going to go through more soon, and these will help immensely with tree placement. The layout is timeless, with every Raynor templates hole on display, from the double-plateau 10th to the redan 7th, the Biarritz 15th, the short 4th, the eden 11th, and the cape 13th. Raynor’s industrial style is dialed back a bit, making the courses nuances more subtle, and as a result, the course looks a tiny bit more natural than a course like Camargo or Fisher’s Island. Overall this track is just awesome and painfully underrated! Please check it out if you get the opportunity!
