East Orange Golf Course

The course is in poor condition. The greens have a lot of sand on them. They had been aerated but this had large pebbles across the greens. The tee boxes were in very poor condition. No grass on most of them, just soggy ground. I’ve played when the conditions were better and it’s not a bad course, but for the next few weeks I don’t expect it will be a good experience. Also, paid for 18 but was not notified that the back nine was closed. Staff are very unfriendly as well.

No starter near tee box. Got stuck behind a slow group who parked their golf carts far from where they were hitting. Busy chit chatting instead of playing. Not sure if I will make play there again.

The course is awfully maintained. The staff could not be bothered to speak to you when checking in. You’re actually interrupting their conversations. Also don’t bother asking for a cart, or even a basket to hit some balls at the range. Spend a little more and go elsewhere.

it was terrible the fairway looks like the rough the greens in like a New York City road with all the potholes they don’t care about teetimes they’ll make you wait 15 to 20 minutes even though it’s in short hills it definitely takes after his name east Orange wow terrible.

Never super crowded compared to some of the other courses in the area. Don’t have much in a way of a pro shop, which would be pretty cool especially for those of us that need extra equipment or have a collection of ball markers or balls to commemorate where you’ve played. 19th Whole options look pretty good, haven’t eaten there, but the menu looks pretty good and frequently has entertainment options. There was a live band that was performing in the restaurant last night and they sounded fantastic so I may consider sticking around to have a drink and a meal next time.

The tee boxes and the so-called sand traps are in really bad shape. The fairways are decent, but not great also. The rough makes it difficult to even find your ball. All in all there are many other courses that I would choose before recommending this. Sorry guys! That’s the honest truth.

Uneven tee boxes, standing water everywhere, bumpy greens, diseased grass in the fairways, poor drainage and dirt filled bunkers. Just an overall bad course. Waste of time

Really nice layout, unfortunately not well maintained, needs a lot of improvement.

All greens are sanded. Some tee boxes are dirt and the others are overgrown. Carts are falling apart. This place needs new management and an influx of money. Not worth the amount that they’re charging.

It doesn’t take much effort to fill the ball washers once a week.

I called to move my t-time from the morning to later in the afternoon and they told me to come over at any time. I arrived in the afternoon, got a cart, and began my round. What a pleasant evening of golf! No one behind me and a father/son in front of me. I took my time and had a great round. Then had a bite to eat in the restaurant after the round. Everything was great!

Nice course, good pace of play, greens were in excellent condition. Some tricky putting needed.
