Sprain Lake Golf Course

Nice design, very short except for 2 or 3 holes.

Picturesque- must be beautiful in the fall.

The greens are ridiculously slow, almost annoyingly so.

Sand traps need to be raked prior to opening for the day, but it’s priced right. Got done in 4 hours flat, but was told that it’s usually a death march, must have been the threat of rain.

I’m a Monday golfer, since it’s usually very good to avoid the weekend madness golf in NY. But this Monday was different. Course did not mention the greens were going to be aerating that day opin booking. Even after I called, no ranger came to check on the pace of play. On every single tee, we had to wait sometimes up to 10 MINUTES so we can hit our first ball on the hole. Every single hole, 8-10 MINUTES waiting, on a Monday? Not worth it at all.

Love this course! Challenging, fun and well maintained.

Once again playing at Sprain Lake was fantastic. Made some great new friends and had so much fun.

Course was in better shape than the last time I played in early June. Greens were very slow and need cutting and rolling, but are otherwise in excellent shape. Carts are getting a bit long in the tooth, and the county needs to start thinking about upgrading the fleet.

Pace of play has really gone downhill here. 3 groups on tee boxes midweek

Course in very nice shape. Greens were a fair speed, some of the cup positions were a tad questionable!! LOL

I’m in my 70’s myself so I can’t throw a stone to far but by virtue of the luck of the draw we got stuck behind a group who had one member need help to get out of the cart!!! That hurt.

Course was nice, good conditions nice layout, but terribly overbooked. I couldn’t even finish the round. Each hole had a Groupon the T a group ahead of them waiting to make their second shot and a group down near the Green. It was impossible to move.

Played a Friday morning and was 5.5 hours just waiting on every single shot ranger has to be more on top of it
