We are from Wisconsin and we usually try and play this course once or twice while we are out here visiting relatives. We have always enjoyed playing the course and meeting other golfers from the area. Everyone is very friendly. The scenery is beautiful also.
Great course for the value!
Great course except the golf carts are a bit dated/slow and parts of the course are completely dead grass which is just hitting off dirt.
Good for mid-handicaps and beginners
This is like your garden variety muni transported to a beautiful place. As a low handicapper, I found it easy except a couple of nice holes on the back side. Wide open with accessible greens. Conditions were ok -- spotty here and there. A great place for someone to learn the game.
Good course for mid- or high handicappers
This course is like your average muni transported to a beautiful location. As a low handicapper, I found it to be easy. There are a couple of great holes on the back nine from the tips -- especially a 600 yd par 5 -- but overall there was tons of room for errant shots and the greens were accessible. Conditions were average. It would be a great course for a beginner and a 15-handicapper would find it challenging.
I loved Mission Mountain Golf Course
Beautiful setting, intriguing design, well-maintained, fantastic pace-of-play. We felt like we had the course all to ourselves. A hidden gem!
Back nine way too crowded today
Front nine was great... ez pace. Good conditions. Very nice experience.... then hit tenth hole and it was like a bus had arrived. Golfers all over the place. Groups of 7-8 in 4 carts. People jumping holes. We waited 10-15 minutes to hit on some holes while guys chatted, flagging down the drink cart, double hit balls, went looking for lost balls, carts showing up with people but no clubs... all to meet friends and chat.
Really soured the experience today. No Marshall’s to keep the game moving. Back nine took almost 3 hrs.
Terrible staff/owner
Sean, the owner was absolutely disgusting.
First off I showed up, and was told because my purchase for the round was through golfnow, and that Sean did not get any money from that, that I would need to wait until 5 minutes before my round to even load my bag into a cart.
Mind you a cart that is the only one being rented for the day.
There was literally one other guest at the clubhouse.
Sean then told me after I voiced my complaint of not being able to just load my bag up, “one more word out of you and your golf privilege can be revoked”
Who is the customer here?
Sean was absolutely out of line with his abrupt attitude, and his demeanor towards me as a customer because golfnow was paid and not “him”.
Sean owns the course, there is no pro. It’s just him, I wouldn’t play here again If I was paid 5k to do so.
I advise that golfnow stops even listing this course.
MMGC
Great course that I love to play. Excellent views with a course that is improving every year. The Cantina Grill is a must after a round and I suggest the pulled pork burrito. Relaxing golf in a great atmosphere.
Great day to Play Golf
We got a great deal with golfnow so we hit Mission Mountain. Great day, great course
Mission Mountain Fun
Great day and nice layout. Course is making a great comeback from a few years ago. If you are driving by it is worth the stop. It is a course that needs golfers.
Haven’t played here for two years. The course is in much better condition, I recommend others in the area to play this course. The greens are in great shape!
Hidden Gem
I have played this course many times and it just keeps getting better. The new owner really has put his time and money into it. Why pay over $80 twelve miles away when this course is halve the price with twice the layout.
Very fun and interesting golf course. Took a few chances I didn't need to take. Greens true to read.
We had a great time
We had a fun afternoon. Several holes were a challenge, but were balanced with a few easier holes. We ate lunch afterward and it was very good. Thanks for a great afternoon!
