Surprising
Pulling up to club house the course looks fairly flat with few trees, some houses in middle. Most of course is below ridge with lots of trees and water. Even goes down to marshy area. I liked the course very much, good condition, decent layout.
Gem in the rough
Always liked the course, it provides plenty of challenge. I like the pace of play but it was noon on a summer mid week day. More people need to go there to keep it open.
Open and Fast. Friendly staff.
Greens were great and the holes were interesting and challenging. The only odd thing was they were watering over a few tee boxes and a couple of greens. It was a hot day, so being "watered" while you tee off was kind of refreshing.

This course is in desperate need of quality maintenance. Otherwise by the fall of 2015 it will not be worth playing -
This is not a demanding course. I am not a demanding player. Good fit.
Not a lot of sand or water. I am a beginning player and water only means lost balls to me. Good for starting players.
