Reviews
Greens were like an ice rink.
I had an early tee time. Maybe 5 players on course throughout my 18 holes. Fairways were in good shape as was the rough. Greens were another story. Felt like I was playing at the US Open with how fast they were. Took away a lot of the enjoyment for me.
Great Little Challenge
Not an overly long course. Tight fairways and small greens made it challenging. Greens were slow but over all course was super green and well taken care of. Visiting on vacation and pleased we played here!!
The course is in great shape
Played 18 holes today starting out early to beat the heat so it was perfect weather with light wind. The course is in about as good of shape as I have very seen it, so good golf!!
Great day for golf
Temp and wind was perfect for golf and all was great until I hit a big back up at hole 6 and then the slow play totally took my rhythm away.
Early Wednesday
need to let people know that mens club is going off on Wednesday mornings. Block out T-Times so people who prepay don't have this trouble.
Every bit a public course
Some public courses are well-maintained and a pleasure to play. Unfortunately Tom O'Leary is not one of then. From he long grass on the tee boxes to the dandelions growing on the aprons of the greens and everything in between this is a poorly maintained public course. Pace of play is slow and the starter allows 5 and 6 somes. If you are a somewhat serious golfer this isn't the course for you.
A very good day
Tom O, is a relatively short, hilly course in the middle of Bismarck. The course conditions were very good with no dead areas from the winter. The ball washers are out and well maintained. They weren't out earlier in the season due to the corona virus. The golf cart was clean and the workers started cleaning it as soon as we returned it to the pro shop. Weather started cloudy with a threat of a shower but turned sunny by the back 9. It will be awhile for me to get used to some of the changes to the course, such as a relocated green and a couple of new tee boxes, all vast improvements. I used to walk this course with a carry bag but doubt I could handle the hills anymore. This is a very nice course without being so challenging to not be fun.
