Wide open spaces
Very nice course that has made improvements over the past few years. Elevated tees and hilly terrain makes for interesting layout. The greens have been plugged now, but rest of course is still in great shape!
Green Hills = Great Day
Another great day at Green Hills. The course was in great shape and the pace of play was excellent. It’s never bad when you play on the weekend and are done in 4 hours and 15 min.
Nice Course
Overall this is a great course to play for the value. I played 18 just by myself around noon on a Wednesday and was surprised by how packed the place was. Needless to say the pace of play was slow, it was backed up on the first tee but some people let me play through. It’s a relatively short course, I played from the blue tees and that was just over 6,000 yards. But it’s kept in great shape with firm greens and great views from several tee boxes. They have a grass range on the course as well as a 9-hole Par 3 course across the street. I would definitely play here again.
Nice
Would have rated the course higher, but was disappointed to get to the course after a 1hr 15 min drive and find out the greens were aerated...wish something was posted on GolfNow....bummer
Besides that, layout was fun, pace was really bad, a few players were playing too far back for their skill set and should have let better players play through...
Friendly staff, had fun with the #7 hole challenge, I will have to come back and play when the greens are pure..
Green Hills
Very well kept course, greens a little fast but very well kept.
Gorgeous Greens
Course played like a country club. Fairways were immaculate, sand was fluffy and raked, rough was green and thick but not punishing, greens were fast and true. Will be playing again.
Best in the area
I live in Sandusky. This course is well worth the 30 minute drive. It’s challenging, makes you think, but also has some holes that scream “bombs away” Condition is wonderful, especially compared to other courses in the area. Well worth the money and time.
Pricey
This course is always well maintained but they will pack players in and have slow play at times the carts are 1940 models I believe. I would never pay the $46 or whatever they ask for prime times but if you get a golfnow deal or have coupons it is a nice play for $25-30 . Also senior rates are 62+.....many courses offer them at 55+. Really like the course but wish it was a little more reasonably priced.
