Outstanding course
By far one of best courses around very well taken care of and for the price you can’t go wrong will be a regular course for me going forward.
worth the drive
This is farther from home than I generally like to go, but the hot deal price was right and I had no other plans for the day. We played in the afternoon so there weren't many people on the course which meant my wife and I could take our time. The course was in great shape, the staff was friendly (what little contact we had with them), and we had a great time. I'll be back soon!
nicely trimed and manacured
a fair test for a short hitter. greens are large and alot of slope but roll nice and fairly true, although they did aireate the day we played but didn,t change much. a very nice course.
Hidden Gem in Northwest Ohio
Found a good deal for a $20 round at 4:50 PM. Reviews looked good on the website and golfnow, so went to take a look. What me and my buddy (both members of the BGSU Club Golf Team) found was one of the nicest public courses in the area. Course is short from tips, but doglegs, strategically placed bunkers, and water prevented us from bombing driver every hole. 6,200 yards felt more like 6,500 or 6,600 because of the layups required to avoid ponds and creeks. Had a lot of 150 yard shots into par 4s, which is a lot longer than most courses longer than this one. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways were in immaculate shape for the middle of April, and a lot faster than several other private and semi private courses in the area. Great variety of size and undulation on greens, front nine were mostly smaller and flat but back 9 were larger with more slope. Overall, absolutely worth the 5 star rating and the $20 greens fee. Will definitely play again in summer.
Staff doing best to keep things sanitized and safe. Still had hot dogs so bonus!
Worth every cent
Always a great course and it's almost back to pristine condition. Great work to Andy and the amazing staff to get this beauty back up to par
Conditions/Customer Service
Started playing Loudon meadows three years ago. Wasn’t sure I wanted to go back, and did last year. Course was better, so my son and I played this last Sunday. The course was in amazing condition coming offf an all day tournament Saturday. I told the guy in the Pro Shop well he back. The course conditions were very good, and the greens were some of the best around.
Pace of play
Played this course many times but this summer has been brutal on the 3 courses owned by the owner. Today we had a walking 3 some, man, wife and 14 ish year old. Many swing and misses, mom sliced 3rd or 4th shot on the other side of 2 green. So this continued and they would just look back at us like oh well. Dad was carring 2 bags by the 4th hole. We play fast and were walking also, but I think golf edict has left the golf world. We skipped 7 and 8, jumped to 9 and was moving pretty good until 14. Ran into a 3 some ( 3 carts ) with 2 kids who were 100 yards behind the 3 men in the fairway digging ditches with chunk after chunk. Dad would tell and they would run to the green. Again no offer to play thru. Also they had the biggest loudest bluetooth speaker I've ever seen or heard. Thought we were in Caddyshack. Again no edict. This year has been the worst pace of play I've ever seen in my 40 years of golfing. I wrote my worst experience on one of the other owned courses. I believe these 3 courses are nice enough to have rangers........hope someone is listening. Also I want to say this course is top 3 favorites in NW Ohio for us. But pace of play is making us go to other courses the rest of the year. Maybe next year we'll try it again.
Great Course, slow play
I've played this course quite often over the last 20 years, but have never until today had such slow play in front of me. 2 foursomes that lolly gagged like they were the only people on the course. A 3some, 2 of which were walkers, and another 2 some in front of my son and I. Neither of the groups even offered to let anyone play thru, the 2 in front of us even asked and were ignored. It got so slow on the front that 2 walkers 4 holes behind me eventually caught up. I guess the line on the card about allowing faster groups to play thru was blacked out. It got laughable making the turn, we left after the 14th hole, expressed my disgust with one of the foursomes and the clubhouse. Beware course hogs, I WILL HIT INTO YOU.
Enjoyed
Enjoyed the round. Everything went fine. Will go again.
Great conditions
Crew puts in a lot of work to keep the course in good condition. Pace of play was pretty good considering I was a single golfer. Just had to skip a hole to get around an older foursome. Another pair let me play through. The only thing I didn’t like is that all the front 9 holes are just straight shots, and then the back 9 are is more challenging. I wish it was more mixed throughout the course. Overall though I really enjoyed my round.
Decent course
Course was a pretty good course. The front 9 can get boring as it’s just a lot of straight long holes so there’s not much challenge meanwhile the back 9 were very good and fun as they were more mixed had hazards and some variance. The course was very well kept just wasn’t a huge fan of the front 9
