Open course in great shape
Kickingbird is fairly open and easy to get away with wayward tee shots. The greens are some of the best in the Edmond/OKC area. The staff is friendly and one of the better burgers at a golf course.
Great municipal course
I had been told to play this course when in Edmond, and I was not disappointed. Got right on and played the front nine as a single -- took 52 minutes! Things changed on the 10th tee, and I ended up joining two other guys for the back nine. They were great to play with, but we had to wait on every shot . Back nine took 2:20 to play. Every hole was stacked up -- no place to go if we had played thru. So we waited. As for the course, it is a great layout and in fantastic condition. The greens were smooth and quite fast -- just like I like 'em ! Course is not overly difficult, but no pushover either. A very enjoyable round of golf (with the exception of how long it took to play the back nine).
