Very poorly maintained
The good things stop at the club house. Everything was overgrown. The fairways were like playing in the rough, the sand traps were hard as a rock, the greens were patchy. The cart paths are broken and in some spots i believe hole 4 and on the way to 5 its non existent. Lost more balls on the fairways just due to them being over grown. On hole 10 i recommend using a colored ball and not a callaway white ball as its in line with the driving range and they use white callaway range balls. This can male it difficult to pick your ball out from all the practice balls that end up on the 10th fairway. I wouldn't recommend this course to a friend and honestly wouldn't recommend anyone waste their money to play here. Also the hole 5 marker is numbered 18 which i found very confusing.
Needs mowed
The greens were nice, but the tee-boxes, fairways, and rough, all needed mowed. Some tee-boxes were indistinguishable from the rough, and we lost quite a few balls in the fairway, due to tall grass. Overall the layout was very nice, but had the course been mowed it would have been much more enjoyable.
No irrigation on course leads to bad conditions
Very few spots on this course are irrigated. Even after the immense amount of rain we’ve had this past month, the ground is still bone dry. Wouldn’t recommend playing until it’s under new management and it undergoes a renovation that includes adding adequate irrigation to the entire course. Definitely not worth the price! Unlikely I would even play here for free
In poor condition
Having played the course before but not in a couple of years I was disappointed at how bad thr course condition was. The pace was also brutally slow with groups stacked up in front of us.
Below Par
The course was in brutal condition. The fairways were worse than our pasture. Greens were ok but just that ok. The pace of play was atrocious. We sat and waited as the groups in front of us were stacked up behind someone. We've played there before a couple of years ago and it was in much better shape.
Terrible for the money
You can play much better courses for less money. Fairways are the rough, tee boxes are sand traps, and driving range is on a slope.
Definitely a challenging course, but a lot of fun!
Course is fun and long on a lot of holes. Greens and fair ways need a lot of work, but for Oklahoma weather, it is understandable!
Poor Course Conditions
I'm not usually one to complain, just happy to play golf, but the course was awful. They didn't even mow the fairways (on Memorial Day weekend). How hard is it to mow? So even if you found the fairway on your shot, you have to hope to find your ball and hit a shot out of the rough. That itself is ridiculous to charge $45/round... Then after that, you can hit lob wedge onto the front of the green, watch it bounce like you just hit the cart path, and end up off the back of the green. Again, spend your money elsewhere.
Upon going inside for a hot dog at about 12:20pm on a Sunday, they acted like it was a huge deal to be asked for a hotdog at the turn. Don't promote your grill if that's the case.
Lastly, the pace of play was awful. We had a group of 5 in front of us playing rather slow, etc.
They charge people $45/round and $2100/month for a membership to play in a pasture.
Good Course
Course was in good condition overall. Tee boxes and fairways were great. Greens were decent. It’s in a neighborhood so there are a lot of houses close to the course, so not the best course for slicers.
Bad course conditions.
Fairway and rough are the same height. They did tell us the mower bladed was broken. But being a golf course how do you have one mower. Greens had landmines of missing grass completely. I would say maybe if they mowed the fairways the course would be better, but other then it wasn’t to fun for the price at the time.
Grounds
A lot of tee boxes with dead grass and fairways where longer than they should be made it very difficult to find balls and interfere with game some greens where rough and interfered with putting
Always fun
Conditions can be rough in spots. Once the grass takes over it’s a great value, but hard as cement while dormant.
