Food & BeverageBar, Restaurant
I feel foolish for not giving this one a shot sooner. Great course and a great burger afterwards. Quality food, phenomenal service!
Some helpful tips
This course is a 9 whole course that you can play twice to make it 18. The staff is very friendly. If you book on any other app or site besides calling the course itself, the course will not have your tee time.
Pineway is an older course and it feels that way, with tall trees and small greens. Nothing special here in terms of layout, but it's a nice place to play a relaxed nine. Course is not what I'd call manicured...greens are slow and sandy, fairways shaggy, and hard to tell where they stop and rough begins. But it's cheap, staff is friendly, and isn't very busy.
A value for the challenge
The course is challenging because of the hills but is fun for it's layout and grass conditions.
A buddy and I used a Hot Deal here. It had been a number of years since last played here. At that time the course was okay, nothing special. Wow, amazing what they've done with the course as well as the restaurant
We were due to be the first to tee off. There was a half hour frost delay. They gave us free large buckets of range balls in the meanwhile as well as coffee. The owners and various ground crew members couldn't be anymore friendly. The greens were some of the nicest that I've played all year. The fairways are in very nice shape as well.
Afterward, we ate in the restaurant
I had a burger and my buddy a chicken sandwich. Both were very good. Due to the very good overall experience, I'll be back.
Good place to get in a nice relaxing round. Course is open and playable, but with variety.
A nice place to play
We were met in the parking lot with the friendly staff and we had a great time playing this open course. The greens were in nice shape. It is a good workout walking up some of the hills, and it provided a nice out-of-the-town golf experience.
Forgiving and challenging .
Fairways are wide for driving however, you will need to be accurate because your approach to the elevated greens are very narrow. Lots of up and down hills.
To play this course you will need to use every club in your bag. I look forward to playing it again.
Great description, planning on getting out there for first time and helpful review!
Nice course tucked away in the woods
Played here with my wife and daughter on Saturday. We had a great day played 18 holes but was able to eat lunch in between going back out for a second 9. It is a very laid-back atmosphere. They allowed us to bring our Son with even though he wasn't playing he just rode along in the golf cart. The lunch we had was great and a reasonable price. We got to golf carts one of them was electric the other one was gas and tended to backfire here and there other than that the day was perfect. The greens were very fast but in great shape.
Had a good time.
First time playing the course, there was frost but they got me out as soon as they could. Staff was very friendly. Course is hilly on a few holes and a challenging walk for 18 for this out of shape guy. The shaded greens had a few bare spots, but not bad. Will play again.
On its way up
This was a fun outing. The new owners (two years) are most gracious and are working hard to get this course in great shape. It's very playable as is. A little hilly, so you might consider a cart. What we liked was the variety within the course--up hill, down hill. The sand was awesome--white-white and well kept. (Don't ask how I know.) It's kind of off the beaten path, but that makes it nice and quiet. It was pretty busy when we were there, so be sure to get a tee time in advance.
Fairways and greens were just in fair shape, but the scenery makes up for it. And there are some nice picnic tables under the trees for lunch afterwards.
Fun course! Beautiful scenery. ..I would recommend a cart if you ' re over 60 years old, quite along but beautiful walk. Friendly owners! I will return to play this course again.
9 Holes of FUN!
Fun Course with a few tough holes. Great Views of the hills and trees!
