Spring Hill Golf Club at Albany Golf & Event Center
About
Formerly known as Spring Hill Country Club, Albany Golf & Event Center dates back to 1959. Though the name may have changed, the classic design of the course hasn't. The golf course measures to just over 6,500 yards from the back tees. It may not be a lengthy layout but it's a fun round for beginners and advanced golfers alike, which is why it was chosen as the two-time host to the Oregon Open. The golf course was built on some of the country's most fertile land in a temperate location that allows year-round play. Strategically placed bunkers frame the greens and there are water hazards that come into play on a few holes. One of the most difficult holes, the par-3 17th, is a water hole. There is a lake that runs along the entire right side up to the green, which is also bordered by bunkers to the left.

Greens
The greens were perfect and fast. It was like summer conditions on the greens. Tough !!!
Beautiful course!
This course is awesome. Just a beautiful course and very well maintained. The pro shop has very friendly and helpful employees. Very blessed this course is less than a minute away from my home
Oregon Trip
Visited Eugene from deep South Texas, clubs in tow. GN recommended this course over many courses closer to me in Eugene. The drive was worth the time! Beautiful course, very well maintained, excellent condition!
Great Experience
The course was in good shape, the round took 3 1/2 hours on a weekend.
Very nice place!
The course is in fantastic shape, and the greens are perfect! This is a particularly interesting layout, as there are 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s, and 6 par 5s. Not a lot of courses have this, and certainly a nice change from the norm.
There is an overall more serious vibe at this course. The place runs on time, other golfers are courteous, and if you value your time this place has the best pace of play i have seen in a long time. Spring Hill is worth the price!
Disappointing patron experience.
Tee time of 1020. Foursome behind us, who said nothing to us, caught us on 7 but never waited more than 5 min (they were better than us, couldn't tee until we were on our second stroke) had marshal tell us to keep pace after completing hole 10 at 1230. Let the foursome behind us play through and still finished 18 in 4 hours, 15 minutes. (After waiting out a couple of downpours.)
First time on this course. Why is "pace" determined by fastest players? It takes a minute to put divots back and repair ball marks, a courtesy that we saw nobody else engaging in.
Pronghorn Golf Experience Package
Just read your review. Sounds furstrating, and that is the hardest part of this game (especially when just taking it up). There always are players slower or faster. I have played for 20 yrs and still have problems like you described. Dont let it discourage you
