About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Golf day in NW
It is a great layout for a course. All left dog legs. Yes this time of year it is very wet, but drainage of greeen area could be better. Others then that a great place to play.

First and Likely Last Time Playing Here
The course was decent. Given the rare sunny December Saturday in Oregon, the place was packed. My biggest gripe is that when we went to sign in for our tee time, the staff member told us that "someone had called in and moved our tee time from 10:37 to 11:30."
I booked the tee time, and none of us adjusted the time. So we had almost a whole extra hour to kill while we waited. While they did grant my request for a bucket of range balls to hit for the mistake, the course was so busy and place of play was so slow that we were there after dark.
I'm very frustrated and feel like I was told a lie to divert blame away from an error they made. It's unlikely that I'll be back, but hopefully someone at the course sees this and makes some changes, or at least will take accountability if they make mistakes in the future as opposed to blaming the guests.

Not for the winter
First time playing the course today and had an overall solid time. Staff were great and did an awesome job of managing the day. Amenities were solid and clubhouse staff were awesome.
Conditioning-wise, the fairways were fine given this is Portland and drainage issues affect most courses. However, the greens were quite soggy. One of my tee shots on a par 3 with a 6 iron plugged a half ball deep. Layout is challenging with plenty of trees, multiple blind tee shots and a few extreme dog leg lefts. Looking forward to playing in the summer to get a true feel for the course.

Excellent greens
The back nine plays similar to the front, with doglegs on nearly every hole except #14, which is quite unique par 3. The greens are fantastic and meticulously maintained, showing much care and pride of ownership. I played poorly today but it is still Highly recommended!

Green and pretty
Really pretty course! Despite being less than 6000 yards it isn’t easy. You definitely need to choose the right club off the tee, very much helps to have a range finder or app on your phone. The course is a bit soft this time of year but I’d play here again for sure.

Sanded Greens
Always enjoy this course but did not know greens had been sanded. Should be great in a week following rain.

Fun Course
Second time playing this course. It is an interesting old-style course, not too long, lots of doglegs, deep sand traps. The course was in pretty good shape. My one caveat is that the tee boxes are uniformly mounded and uneven. It is impossible to find an even lie. I suppose this is by design? It does take away from the experience and makes me think I won’t return.

OH THOSE DOGLEGS
Oregon City is a reltively short course, but large trees which line both sides of the fairways provide the challenge. Greens were excellent.. The need to rebuil dome of the tee boxes which were not level. My chief issue with the course is one that cannot be resolved. There are 7 hoples which dogleg right., and maybe one that goes left. I consdier this a design flaw. Pace of play was slow. at 4:40 for such a short course. I will be back, but not often
