Tee boxes need water
Tee boxes are very dry and hard, almost need a hammer to get the tee in. Green on hole 1 had way to much water in it from watering. Enough that when you walked in it, water squished up. Green number 2 dry, so I went over that one.
Our golf cart couldn't make 12 holes, they had to bring another. Most of the carts need cleaning with a little tender loving care, this could be a recent nine holes course
Great place to try!
Very nice course with beautiful scenery. A good place to play for a relaxed round with the course being forgiving enough to keep losses low and misses safe. Brought my wife and kid on a slightly busy day and it was a place we all enjoyed and felt comfortable at. Staff is nice and my general impression is the course is inviting.
Go elsewhere
Even though I got to play this course for $20, it wasn’t worth it. Literally felt like playing through a pasture that was mowed short. I understand you can’t charge a fortune, but maybe charge a little more and put some back into the course.
RUN......AWAY.....AS....FAST....AS...YOU....CAN
First, let me start off with the good about this golf course.
The staff was very friendly and honestly, I felt like this was a nice quite little, small town back woods golf course when we pulled up. I don't mean that negatively, but it just didn't feel like the vibe was the same as anywhere else I have ever played.
Now, lets discuss the lukewarm about this course before I get into the negative. There are very few directional signs letting you know where to go throughout the 9 HOLE course. My group got turned around a few times and we had 2 other groups get lost trying to find hole number 3 and went to hole 8. We bumped into these groups during their adventure to find the correct hole and tried to assist them. Second, the carts on this course are in pretty rough shape and the one we had the brakes were not adjusted tight enough and it made for some sketchy stopping. Third, the trash cans at every hole were overflowing with trash and beer cans were on the ground surrounding the trash can because it was so full. Lastly, this is actually a 9 hole course that if you select 18 holes you will just play twice. Not a huge deal but you will be bumped up against people and people will be on your back. Also, this should be listed somewhere on golf now to let people know this information.
Okay, lets hit the negatives and there are a few. First, this course is basically a black top parking lot on the fairways. You can literally roll 100 yards in the fairway because of lack of grass and the ground underneath is basically sand that has been compacted. Second, the tee boxes are completely beat up, dry, and hard as a rock just like the fairways. Third, the greens were awful. They are not mowed correctly so finding a line is not possible and most of the greens are dead with sand covering about 25-50% of it. Fourth, sprinklers were on and running at every hole. Normally, this would be a good thing but not at 11am when the course is packed, and the sprinklers are in the middle of the fairway. I got soaked a few times trying to hit my ball and after a while just walked over to my ball and moved it to the ruff to hit because I was tired of getting soaked. Fifth, staff was on the 7th green with a red watering hose going the whole way across the green and he was standing there in the middle of the green watering it. This was a complete distraction for me and my group when we were teeing off. I landed on the green and literally had to chip over the red water hose because it was in the way for me to put the ball. Lastly, the sand traps on this course were terrible. They had weeds growing around the sand traps that were probably a foot long, the sand was hard as a rock, and from what I could tell most people weren't even cleaning it up after hitting out.
Overall, I give this course a 1-star review and I will not be returning. I would recommend to anyone that has stuck around to read this review to the end to check out some of the courses in the Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg pa area. Much nicer and honestly about the same price.
OK Course if You Can Deal with Rude Clerk
I’ve played at Conocodell numerous times. The course isn’t kept in the best condition but the cost is reasonable. The worst part about playing there is the rude woman who takes your money. When you go to the office, she always acts like you’re interrupting her and she’s doing you a big favor. Sometimes she seems inexplicably confused. My friend and I have played there numerous times, always 9 holes with a cart, but the first time we played there this year, she became very confused about what to charge us because we were getting a cart. Then when I asked her about the 3-year membership they’re offering this year - I wanted to know if I would still have to pay if I wanted a cart and how much it would be - she said she didn’t know. How could she not know?! I like to play there because it’s inexpensive and close to home, but I don’t know if I’ll even go back because I don’t want to have to deal with her.

Joke of a course
Upon arriving there was no one in attendance. We got a key off the outside table as directed on previous visits and played 9 holes. The course was one of the worse we ever played, and we played many, many courses. The so-called tee boxes were simply rough weedy spaces. The fairways are basically whatever grows and actual grass is not a large part of that. The greens are fairly large but damaged and very inconsistent to actually expect good putting results. Throughout the course the Canadian geese at least try to fertilize the course, so you need to watch where you are stepping. Once we completed our round, I went into the office to settle up and regrettably found a not so pleasant attendant watching tv who seemed disturbed by my presence. I explained that we played and needed to pay. She tried to charge me for an 18 hole round and even insinuated that we were out that a long time when actually we were there for only 90 minutes. I finally convinced her that we played 9 holes, not 18 and she rang it up. Problem there was she rang it up as the regular rate rather than the senior rate. It's not hard to see that a 80 year old person is a senior, not a regular but I paid the regular rate just to get out of the office. I guess it goes without saying that this will be our final visit. If you really enjoy the game of golf, look elsewhere.

Terrible course
My wife and I played this course for the 1st, and last, time this year and were very disappointed in the overall condition of the course. The tees were crap; the fairways full of weeds and goose poop; the greens not only extremely slow but heavily damaged as well and the sand traps had hardly and sand. Add to that the very unfriendly reception of the office attendant who was apparently unhappy about being drawn away from her tv to tend to customers. All this made for a very unpleasant experience.
rude service. you get what u pay for
lady at the front desk is always rude. I was told it's the owners wife. the playing area is always a mess, leaves , bark, trash, water spots, mud, tee box is like trying to push your tee thru concrete ... I literally play it to just get swings in. they don't accept golf now .. make that clear because you will hear about it when asked. $22 for 9 holes not including cart.. course is very peaceful until you get to hole 9 ... I've had the neighbors yell and scream like they're getting hit with balls every 20 seconds on 2 occurances now
awful
NEVER GO COURSE WAS AWFUL. IF IT WAS THE LAST GOLF COURSE AVAILABLE I STILL WOULDNT GO.
Not good
Poorly maintained worker was very rude and disrespectful.
Nice 9 holer
We were pleasantly surprised by the courses layout and conditions. There were some wet spots and some areas that were not mowed well due to recent flooding. The greens were good overall., they did have one temporary due to renovation of a green damaged by flooding. The course was fun to play and had some difficult holes.
Meh
No real fairways ... Sticks and bark all over ... Bunkers flooded and didn't have much sand in them.
