Nice course
Nice course. Played it late in the year. Only problem was that the clubhouse was closed at the turn. We got to the turn at 1:30 and couldn't get in to buy anything to drink or eat. There was a sign that said take a cart key and pay later. The course was in good shape but would have been nice to be able to get a hotdogs and go to the bathroom at the turn
A very nice course with one drawback
The holes on this course are some of the most scenic holes you will ever play in Western PA. Some greens have 2 and 3 levels which are very challenging believe me. The layout was great with no parallel holes you get in some courses. While the course is very hilly, it is also very playable - with one drawback - BLIND Tee Shots! ON the front nine alone there are 6 blind tee shots. The second time you pay this course you will love it. It is not easy but it is a great course - the second time you play it. I had read several reviews of this course which complained about poor service. We had no such problem - the service was friendly and fast.

If your a first timer at Pheasant Ridge, the blind tee shots can be very frustrating. But like you said, the second time around is a lot more enjoyable! League Play
I would like to thank both Jim Horan and Mike Reimer for the excellent service provided to our group. Most of them were first time players to this course and they were duly impressed by the aesthetics, condition and care of the course. They were very complimentary of the way Jim and Mike took care of the group and services rendered. Our group of 16 had nothing but high praises for the course management and want to come back and play the course again,

Diamond In the Rough
I knew I was in for a pleasant experience from the moment I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car. I was greeted by a wonderful gentleman named Bob who greeted me at my car and asked me if I had a tee time. He brought a cart over to my car and said, "how is that for valet service sir"? He was quick to give me tips on certain holes. This is not a difficult course if you hit long irons straight. That being said, you better put your approach shots in the right position on green. When I finished, I was greeted by Bob and the beautiful Leah. She got me a drink at the bar and was very friendly. I will tell all my golfing friends about this course.

Excellent challenge
Use a variety of different clubs as every hole brings s new challenge. The greens are my favorite part. Almost no flat putts with a nice speed. Can't wait to come back.

Slow pace
With 8 minutes between tee times it was no wonder we teed off 20 mins late, took 1 hour to play first three holes and 3 hours for front nine. I was also no longer able to use a debit card I purchased a couple of years ago that still had money on it. Disappointing. Thought the course was in good condition and greens were very nice.
We are so sorry to hear that the pace was very slow on the day you were playing our course and your debit card was not able to be used. We will pass this information along to the right people to see what went wrong there. We are glad to hear that among the negative experience you had, you still had something kind to say about the good condition of our greens. beautiful course
We had a nice round. Not crowded, easy pace, gorgeous setting though a little dry. Not much advantage for ladies over senior tees. Better be a long hitter! Great time!

Over Booked and Rude
No pace of play monitoring at all. 3 hours to play 9 holes and when I discussed with the manager he told me his GPS was telling him the pace was 38 minutes behind like I was lying to his face.
The manager of this course is rude and doesn't care at all if his guests have a good time.
I will not golf here ever again. Too many courses in area to pay $50 to play here and be treated like trash.
Beautiful architecture and services!!
Pheasant Ridge is my most favorite course in town!! It's not only because of its beautiful architecture but also the warm welcome from the staff!! They truly committed to ensure that the golfers enjoy their time invested on the green or at the club house. It's well worth the $ paid.

Course conditions
The golf carts were filthy, probably because most of the cart paths are in rugged poor condition. The course backed-up on the 4th hole. No ranger was noted. We quit after reaching the 10th tee and realizing a group that was 3 ahead of us was just arriving to play the back nine. The tees, and greens were OK, but some fairways were pretty rough and barren. We won't play here again.
Love the back nine!
One hole prettier than the next. Long but forgivable. Greens in great shape. Great course. Very frendly staff.

Great Value
Course was in good shape, staff is always friendly. I wouldn't pay more than $40 to play, but have never had a bad experience here.

Good course but missing great care
The course was ok but greens were slow. Golf carts were filthy as though they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Cart paths have washed out in places which is hazardous as I twisted an ankle getting into our cart.
Many of the bunkers had littl sand and/or were filled with water.
Disappointing for a potentially great course!
Pace of Play
They overbooked, plain and simple. Then they denied it and blamed it one the fact that they're the 'no. 1 course on golfnow.' Playing for 6 + hours is not normal (as he alleged) nor appropriate. They ran out of carts, so there were 3 or more tee times waiting (past their tee time) for carts to come in as we made our turn. It's one thing to have an unorganized day, but to say it's normal and blame other factors for the mgmnt's mistakes is frustrating.
Great course, great conditions, friendly staff
Course is in great condition, greens receptive despite a lack of rain and rolling true. Pace of play was good, played 18 in a little under 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

Nice Greens
Greens are challenging. After first 3 holes every hole is a private fairway. Need to hit good drives if playing the blue tees.

good bargain with Golfnow
Staff was very friendly and paired me up with a 3some. The course was full, but the pace of play was very good considering the different level of golfers playing. The cart paths are terrible and someone said they're going to be doing asphalt soon. The course was in pretty good condition, but the traps need work. Tee boxes needs some leveling but overall good track.

Excellent public course
Most holes are open and forgiving from the tee box. Bunkers around the course were creatively placed and well maintained. Great value for the green fees. Two greens have severe undulations; makes for a fun challenge.
