You can find a better place that will appreciate you business
Course is fine, but staff and ownership have become very rude. Disappointing because we used to Golf there a lot. That said, there are 5 courses within 5 miles of this place. You can do better. Find a course that respects it's customers and appreciates their business. Wont' go back and I don't think I'll miss it.
Took forever
The course was on good condition for November. We had a good time, but could have been great if it wasn’t for the foursome ahead of us. They wouldn’t let us play through. We waited on every shot. Some people should take some lessons before going to a course.
Golfing at the RITTSwood
Greens are in very good shape and fast, fairways were good. Only thing that upset us was a few groups had no course
Etiquette.
Family owned and operated
Nothing fancy from Rittwood. The course is in reasonably good shape. Layout is unimaginative, forgiving, but not overly short. It's a good place to "get a round in". The 'hot deal' price was great.
Was disappointed that the woman, who I believe to be the owner, said she was not renewing with GolfNow because she was disappointed with them. Didn't elaborate.
Water
The course was like a parking lot. I couldn't put a tee in the ground.
Great day to play golf
The staff was super friendly. The course was in great shape, the price was right, need I go on? I will return again and again.
Nice variety of holes and great greens. Good old fashion layout.
Made us wait till our tee time
Arrived 45 minutes early to do some putting. No one on the course, as weather was hot and rain was expected. Wouldn't let us go out early, we had to wait 45 minutes for our tee time. meanwhile no one was playing. Wasn't real happy with this attitude, and stated that we won't be back.

Late for tee time
Nice course and good staff but not very accommodating. I made the mistake of showing
up late for my tee time. It was a honest mistake on my part but the course was not very accommodating. The staff would not honor my golf now booking and made my group pay to play the course. I agree it was my fault for miss communicating the tee time to the group but some courses would have honored my reservation (Hiland Golf course in Butler) if possible. All in all it cost my group about $52.75 a person to play a $21.00 round. To be fair the course did allow us to play at a discounted rate.
Worst customer service imaginable
Crazy backwoods lady at desk (cash only) course is upset with life. I've played here twice and received the same treatment. Stated she "wants to cancel their golf now contract" because golf now players don't follow rules. Booked the course on a last minute tee time 25 minutes prior to tee off on a rainy day. 5 cars in the lot. She told me I have to ride with the others at the tee time I selected! Scolded me! No cart for myself, needed to skip that 1st 3 holes for being 10 minutes late. Seriously, this happened. Backwoods hill billy husband drove me out the group (ended up having fun with these guys) where we all had the same feelings and stories about the treatment. Never again.
A Great Option north of Pittsburgh
Its been a few years since I have been to Rittswood. Its come a long way over the years. BEST GREENS I PUTTED THIS YEAR. Smooth and fast. And not easy to hit, feels like they reduced the size of the greens making it a tough challenge.
The family that owns the course are all tremendous people and couldn't be nicer and are always working hard to make sure that the course it as good as it can be.
Honestly, give it a chance.. Its a great value too. $38 to ride 18. Others in the are want close to 50 on the weekend and probably aren't worth it. But this is moderately priced and very worth it. CASH ONLY THOUGH!! which isnt a problem.. just putting it out there!
Ritswood..
Very nice staff for sure. Course is in good shape and I would play again.
Nice Course
This was a nice course, not great. I would definitely play it again.
Mean Lady
The lady that was at the clubhouse was just not a nice person to be around. Could tell from the first words spoken to her that she was not in the mood today. No alcohol allowed on the course!? Huge wasp nest right in the parking lot close to the clubhouse. The greens are about the size of a baby pool and the pin locations are not specified by color... Bring a hammer with you because you will not be able to get your tee in the ground on the tee boxes.
Way too expensive, poor condition, no fun
Myself and two friends were looking to try something new last weekend. Unfortunately we ended up trying out Rittswood Golf Club. We paid 38 bucks through golfnow.com, which isn't expensive for a weekend in Southwest PA. We knew from the very beginning we were in trouble. The sign for the course is fairly small and constructed out of rotten wood. Immediately, I thought "uh oh"
We checked in to the course. There was no starter or much of anything going on when we arrived. Pretty confused, considering it was Father's Day, as to why this course was so expensive but so empty and dead.
My friends proceeded to ask about alcohol and they were informed that the golf course does not sell, or allow, any alcohol on the premises. This was a big let down for my group, but we pressed on.
You will be disappointed to know that there were ZERO sand traps on all 18 holes. Let me repeat that. ZERO sand traps. The greens appeared to not have been watered since the winter. I did not see a single sprinkler head in the ground. The greens were so dry that flying any green and holding was virtually impossible.
The one thing i will say is that the greens were very small and located in challenging positions, which i enjoyed. However, flying a green from 150 out with a sky shot and not holding is pretty frustrating when it happens every....single....time.
Oh and hole 18 was supposed to be a long par 4 but they were working on the tee boxes so they changed it to a short par 3....ummmm okay?
Will not be returning and will not be recommending this to anyone. If you can't find somewhere to play, avoid this spot. Make your way to a municipal course and save the money

Our weed free grass bunkers are every bit as challenging as sand-traps. With the over abundance of rain this season we have had to address an issue of a drainage problem on one of our fairways. It was clearly mentioned on a sign at the front counter and at the tee box itself. The temporary tee that we have built for this hole has been maintained as well as the other tees. We are sorry for the inconvenience to our golfers and with drier weather have reopened #18 fairway. Although the township we are located in forbids the sale of alcohol we do allow golfers to bring their own cans of beer. Sorry you didn't enjoy your round.
Very disappointed
We booked a tee time for this course through golfnow. I went to the course with my father for Father's Day looking for a fun round of golf together. We showed up 5 minutes past our tee time due to traffic on the way to the course. The lady who owned the course met us in the parking lot before we could ever make it into the clubhouse to tell us we would not be allowed to play because we were late for our tee time. She said the only way we could play is if we paid the full price again. There was no one waiting to tee off or playing on holes one through three when she told us we were no longer allowed to play. I contacted golfnow to see if there was anything they could do. They weren't able to refund us for our round, but they sent me a dozen Taylor made project A golf balls to compensate for the money we spent on both rounds...needless to say I would not recommend this golf to anyone, and would STAY AWAY!!!!
Thank you golf now for the golf balls, I will continue to use your service.
That is all,
Tyler
Course management was rude and course in bad shape
We signed up or a 2:40 tee time. We hit a bucket of balls and no one had gone out for about half an hour. We wanted to tee off at 2:30 but they came running out of the club house and screamed at us that they made no money on "golf Now" and that we had to wait until 2:30 and play with 2 other golfers. They said if we wanted more flexibility we should have paid them directly and not used gold now. The other 2 golfers were on the tee a 2:40. We teed off and held up the course. They had mowed very very thin fairways and even around the greens the grass was high. Very bad experience.

The tee time you signed up for was the deal of the day. When you signed up the terms and conditions were clearly stated: twosomes would be pared and you would tee off at that particular tee time. Sorry you did not enjoy your round.
Worst customer service ever! Same experience!
